    EDIT: After reading some comments and hearing feedback, I've decided that labeling this an "AWESOME" review was not the route to go for a sponsored video. I have decided to rename the video more accurately as "My First Impressions of New World."

    I should have realized that my reviews have certain expectations around them. This is a first impressions video. While it is a sponsored video, I was not handed a script or bullet points to read. This is the video that I came up with on my own.

  11. Act Man. I love your content, but jesus christ do you not realise that you have an 'Ad voice' that you put on whenever reading a Raycon/RAID script? This entire video is clearly an ad, you sound scripted and you have zero legitimate critiques. Shame, keep this up and you'll start losing subs.

    I don't care how offended anyone is by this. You don't get to cancel someone because of one mistake. Grow up. He doesn't owe you an apology or anything. I actually watched the video. And I will absolutely click off this channel if there is an apology. Sick of this crap.

  16. This is dissapointing coming from you. Maybe Youtube doesn't pay enough but you can't be insincere with your subscribers. You're clearly abusing your status as a reputable game critic to shamelessly promote a game you were paid to promote. I hope you got a nice paycheck but this whole video is a spit to the face of your subscribers.

  17. why are people so negative about this video? because he likes the game? yea this video kind of feels like an ad at times, because it is, but then again his opinions are genuine i dont get the feeling that i am being lied to or hes selling out. so why are people so negative about this video?

  21. I think it makes sense for youtubers to do sponsorships, as this helps them making a living while doing what they love. You need quite many subscribers and views to make just a decent living on advertisement alone. Still I agree that this video felt off, but I am sure The Act Man will find his own way of doing sponsorships after at bit of experimentation 🙂

  31. New World is doing really cool things for the mmo genre. It's almost designed to be accessible in a smart way, like you know in world of wacraft. Damn, this reads like Jeff Bezos wrote the script and sent it to you. No actual criticue were talked in this video. The world is big but pretty much copy paste, not even this was mentioned and the damn quest… I so hate to do them that one of the reason is that I stop playing it, it's painfully dull. I rarely give dislike and I've respected your videos about Blizzard, but not in this video. I hope you will make a more detailed video and you can see behind that Facade of new world..

  34. So what I'm gathering from the comments is the majority of this community, for whatever reason believes the Act Man is incapable of giving his honest opinion if its in a sponsored video. Give the guy a break, if he enjoyed the game, is it really that unbelievable? He played 15 hours, liked it, and that's that, no need to burn him at the stake because his opinion doesn't align with yours. Steam reviews are currently sitting at "mostly positive" so it looks like his experience is inline with most people.

    Side note: (I don't think giving your opinion on something in a sponsored video is the best idea but it doesn't make him a shill)

  37. I was gifted this game on steam, and everything about this review is a lie. First and foremost it must be said this game has been frying certain graphics cards. The game is beautiful but that's all the good I have to say about it. The community is toxic, quests are just run to point A and to point B with no real depth or interesting story. New world is completely unbalanced, the classes don't feel fun to play and tbh a bit clunky, storage isn't shard between regions/cities unless they are controlled by your factions (which is extremely annoying), no mounts, leveling crafting is so unbalanced that it will takes months and months of non stop grinding just to level up your skills. To me personally the game feels empty, like it has no soul. Games such as Final fantasy, WoW, even ESO online all do what New world does but better, they have beautifully crafted worlds that you can get lost in for hours on end with so much to do and offer. In New world you can't even sit in chairs, you can't swim, You can't interact with it's world around you and it's missing the little things that make mmo's so great, questing with friends is a nightmare, there's no dungeon(expeditions) queues and you must form your own parties although if you have a group expeditions can be pretty fun. Quests from the MSQ just feel like throwaway side quests. There is fun to be had in New World but the problem is other mmo's do it better and for that I can't recommend it to anyone.

    This is clearly a bought review from The Act Man and I will always support him as a YouTube creator but it must be said that he got this wrong. Play the game for more than an hour and the appeal quickly starts to wear off, and all the little things start to pile up.
