  1. if you take away the equipment it looks exactly like two kids playing with fucking sticks. it's hilariously bad and i now am convinced that shad is literally insane if he genuinely thinks this is what Hollywood should emulate lmao

  2. I like how shad keeps talking about realistic sword fights.
Yet these characters aren't wearing gloves. Why do they still have any fingers after this fight?
I barely manage to keep mine after cutting vegetables sometimes.

Also things like the helmet and the water shining in the background looks so mid.
And it could be fixed filming later on the day. Instead of this happy white shine you would have this more orange glow that would look dramatic.
And the shadows would look longer making it look less silly and more serious. They had this idea to use the shadow of the flags but then were shy about it and did it half way.

Also the filming makes very little sense. Why is the camera all shaky? Is this some unorganized scrappy fight or something?
This is supposed to be like a formal duel for the throne. The camera should be gliding smoothly or be stationary with cuts here and there.
Shaking the camera around gives this unorganized feeling of like having to run or something. It isn't epic and doesn't feel powerful like a sword fight should feel.

  3. One thing I'd like to point out about the short and their insanely bad direction, is that the whole thing was choreographed and filmed in a space of two hours, said information can be found on the video description. It's insane that this short was made in order to prove that you can have sword fights that are both entertaining and realistic but what it actually achieves is showing how hard filmmaking is, specially planning

  4. Sadly he is the pro and I feel my friend and I were better at this when we were teens lol. However, I feel this breakdown feels a bit shallow, maybe pandactic. Idk you managed to turn a 4min video into a 1 hour response and for that I'm impressed.
