  1. Lowkey really liked cats vs dogs as a kid, even though im more of a cat person that beagle is straight up adorable. Also the dog detecive clip remind me of this clip that went viral where there's clearly an actor in a dog suit running on its hindlegs and punching someone in the face. Mustve been a show from the 70's or something

  2. Ooh I’m really excited to watch this! I recently fell down a bit of a rabbit hole about animal actors, specifically horses since they’re often used in combat scenes. I’m so grateful for actors like several of the LOTR cast members who adopt their on-screen horses so that they can retire. I’m sure it’s taxing to be used in so many high-stakes scenes on sets that are often very noisy, especially for an animal that doesn’t understand what’s going on.

  3. Poochinski had be cackling. Thanks for sharing the joy.

Not nearly as goofy, but the dog&cop team up to fight crime reminded me of Kommissar Rex. A long running Austrian/Italian series about a super intelligent police dog helping his human partner solve cases.

  4. Favorite movie dog? Probably Asta from The Thin Man. Very well trained dog. Loads of personality and a bit of a brat. In one of the movies he even eats part of an important clue. (Though the pre-Hayes Code racy joke they tell with another dog having puppies with his love interest was…bizarre.)

  6. My favorite dog character is red dog, hands down the best boy. Another id like to mention is snowy from spielbergs tin tin movie. I love snowy because he seems to know whats going on at about the same level as the people and seems equally invested is solving the mystery (he fights a fucking eagle) but never looses his dogness, he always seems like a dog, I dont know how else to explain it hope this makes sence. also that tin tin movie has one of my favorite chase seens in a movie, an incredible one shot scene following tons of characters but still manages to flow like a river, i think favorite chase seens would make a great video.

  7. The Pikey dog in Snatch who swallows the squeaky toy … and some other stuff … whole and then squeaks is the most hysterical thing I've ever seen. He dgaf 🤣 John Wick is kinda infamous for good reason, but I rly love JLo's absolutely badass assassin Sheps with fucking armor in JW3 – easily most badass dog characters I've ever seen. Also not a movie but shoutout to Daryl's Dog, he is a good badass boy.

  8. A recent favorite of mine is Samson from The Black Phone. He's never shown attacking anyone, though it's implied that he would if commanded to do so. He's simultaneously frightening and beautiful, with his massive size, solid black fur and yellow irises, like a panther. Also, the hero manages to avoid confronting the dog by offering him some food. Samson is only shown briefly and isn't the only dog in the film, but he leaves an impression.
