I got the Foo Fighters metal record as well as the Motley Crue EP.
The RSD Records are just way too expensive.
If you buy an RSD Record for $70, it won't be worth $50 when you leave the store.

It was a Ringo Starr RSD. Got all three vinyl releases by Ringo on colored vinyl and Ted Nugent Spirit of the Wild.
I had forgotten about RSD until I got up and watched The In Grooves RSD video. When he mentioned the Rick Springfield(my wifes favorite of all time) Jessie's girl album I knew I had to go. I got there only copy of that one. I also got:

None of those were my best finds though. I also got Ozzies Over the Mountain 12" single, Ozzie Blizzard of Ozz Japanese pressing, and a Japanese pressing of Diary of a Madman. I had three people tell me that if I decided not to get the Ozzy albums to let them know.
Now I'll listen to Townes van Zant while I wrap my wifes Christmas present.
Never heard of reverse-groove pressings before. So, what happens at the end of the side if & when you're not there to stop it? Does it damage your stylus when it falls off the edge and lands on something it's not supposed to hit? This gimmick doesn't sound like a good idea.

Wasn’t able to go out but I did buy the Waxwork Records release of Rob Zombie’s Firefly trilogy box set this morning.
The reverse groove from Rob Zombie is definitely a great idea for a pressing. Worth getting just for that !! Nothing for me at RSD 2022. Duran Duran Rio live on gold disc but costs £43 !! Great show Frank and have a good weekend !!
I wanted The Doors Paris Blues more than anything but my local store surprisingly didn't many copies.. I slept in, but that's ok I'll get a copy tomorrow. I got Jimi Hendrix, Dream Widow & Jefferson Airplane RSD releases.
I stayed home & watched the US & England draw at nil in ⚽️.
Debbie Downer here to say that i gave up on RSD years ago. And its all because of whatever ends up coming out. I just dont care about. And sometimes it feels like its a slap to my intelligence. A prime example of this is when they take some sort of album, that may have had a significant impact on the world. But there are several copies for sale in the dollar bin. And then cut to now where its suddenly $44.95 because its on some colored vinyl. Oh, and lets up the game and add another color for people to buy. So a hundred dollars later, theres the 2 copies, and now you can easily get a 3rd out of the $5 bin still. So, why is there this constant flood of albums that just dont make sense?
Okay, heres the flipside, and how has this not happened yet. I will use this for my prime example, because i noticed this last night. But ever notice they put out soundtracks in limited runs and they go all out on it. But, what about those movies where there is some sort of "one off" where it has never been released before? And yes, i know its on the expanded cd. But why havent they ever put out either a 7" or 12" of the song We Fight For Love by The Power Station that was used for the end credits for Commando?
Let's keep that train rolling, and lets ask Cheap Trick why there hasnt been reissues of the songs they used thats only on soundtracks? I remember finding a Don Felder 45 at Into The Music when i lived there that was both of his songs from the Heavy Metal soundtrack. Now, theres a matching Cheap Trick one released back then as well. Why dont they get into reissuing these? And lets just go flat out on the why this has never happened at all. If its a licensing thing and blah blah blah. Isnt it about time that they actually released the soundtrack to Rock And Rule? Or even if Cheap Trick did it as its own 45. Let Love Rule by them with Debbie Harry is a killer song. And its still sitting on a tape in some archive rotting away.
So thats my take. Where are the albums that are gonna drag my old man ass off to the store to get. Instead we get $250 box sets of some Dead concert that takes up 6 albums.
Think RSD would have the nerve to reissue, or maybe remake, and reproduce some 4 LP box set for $100 of a brand new compilation album of all of Nana Mouskouris Christmas Songs? Now if they reissued Maiden Japan by Iron Maiden, then thatd be different. But it seems to me that over the years. The titles thay come out have no interest to me. Especially the live albums. Maybe its because ive had almost a thousand bootlegs on cd before. But i dont see whats so special about them. Just another live album. Unless its something quite rare and happened once. Say there was 1 show on the tour where something significant happened. Like say there was a time when David Bowie showed up to sing with Crosby, Stills & Nash. Im sure that didnt happen, but thats what im getting at. Those shows where only the people who were their saw that happen, and became some folklore for years but the rest of the world dont believe it. Im thinking of the show where Stephen from Flaming Lips filled in on drums for King Coffey when he broke his arm the day before the Butthole Surfers played a show.
Speaking of smelly punks. 1st pressings of In The Mean Time And Between Time by SNFU has 4 sides to the album. Actual album plays outside in. Each side contains a bonus track that plays inside out. Guessing that record company might have done it to others because the 1st album by You Say Party We Say Die has an inside out bonus track on side 2.
I have A Kind Of Blue in the CD Mono Box Set. I suspect the vinyl is the same and if so is the corrected master. The original version had an error in it. The Mono Corrected does sound odd. I didn't bother with the RSD from this week as there was nothing that interested me. I did get the one I wanted from earlier in the year.
Picked up The Doors and Dream Widow.
Didn't grab anything this year Frank.some favorites off the top of my head are Cowboys From Hell- The Demos, Slave to the Grind red wax and the other live Alice Cooper from 2019- Billion Dollar Babies '73🔥❤

Hi Frank had a good time at Record Store Day this year at playroom records in Loveland Ohio. Got the Iggy Pop release and Cheech and Chong Santa Claus and his old lady 7 in also got a Lou Reed Transformer from a prior RSD day unopened also Creator and scum dogs of the universe and all three of those it was 15% off. So it was a great time hung out with my friends had a few cold ones love the show keep up the great work hope you guys have a great holiday season you and your family keep on spinning🤘😎🍻
I have yet to venture into Record Store Day shop. But I did visit my favorite used record shop and the shop did not disappoint. I picked up a very clean Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers record plus records from Blondie, Madness, Midnight Oil and Joni Mitchell. Unfortunately, Peter Gabriel’s So was too dirty for my liking. The shop was busy which was great for the owners.
yeah RSD still rocks. I def still have my fave RSD releases: The Billy Joel at Carnegie Hall, Elton John in URRS, Royal Tanenbaums, all the Bill Evans, Milla the devine comedy & The Coterie. Every year I get great titles I still very much listen too. This yr my top 3 were Duran Duran, The Cure, and The Supremes. Really loving the Harry Chapin too

Sadly, because I'm in retail management, the black Friday RSD isn't one I can attend. Hopefully I can score a copy of Dream Widow via my favorite record store tomorrow.
There have been many great releases throughout the years of RSD. One of my favorite was from a few years back called Something Weird! It was a double album of 70's music from the sexplotation movies from the Something Weird studios. Good stuff. Now there has been some misses throughout the years, you should do a video of the worse RSD releases.

I got my Jimi Hendrix rsd press today. One of my favorites from rsd, was back in 2020, the Yardbirds Rodger the engineer. With the reverse pressing, if you're too late, will the tone arm just fall off?
Yeah RSD normally they have a Lot of good choices which will make you think. How am I gonna pay for all this? This time there’s nothing that I want it’s all crap. And what is up with all these metal and rock channels going for Miles Davis and all this jazz especially on mono where you need to get a Mono stylist for your turntable just to play a mono lp when there is a stereo copy available I haven’t got on that bandwagon of buying jazz on an album when a CD or streaming is just fine I have 25 or 30 cds more money for the music I really like on vinyl . Great show Frank! I also collect the Jazz Dispensary releases, and I dig them, also that OZZY Live looks KILLER! I was fortunate enough to see OZZY on that tour June 81 in El Paso TX, Motorhead opened, it wasn't sold out because Blizzard hadn't quite broken big yet, of course we lost Randy just about 9 months later, thanks for the great videos, Peace!
I got the Alice Special Forces live album for Christmas the year it was released. I had a wedding to do on RSD and missed it. My eldest daughter and grandkids went out that morning to buy it for me, making extra special! 2 other RSD favs are Fillmore West ‘71 from ABB and The Zombies Oddities and Extras.
I only got three of the RSD Black Friday 2022 releases out of the five or six I wanted. For some reason, my record store didn't get the Jefferson Airplane, Ted Nugent, and really a few other releases I want to look at and possibly get. But I did get the…

I didn't go to RSD Black Friday this year. Ohhhh well there'll always be other ones. I love to see the Lps you pick up though. I've got a milk crate full of vinyl from my past RSD years I picked up and I didn't see anything that quite stood out this year.

Great video again, thanks Frank. I am officially jelous of the 5 Souls and Stevie Ray Vaughan releases. Got me inspired to hunt for a few I missed. Some of my fav RSD releases are Gamma Ray Heeding for tomorrow due to the nice packaging and all Ron Carter signature edition releases from In & Out Records in Germany in the last few years.
On November 15 I was lucky to see priest and queensryche in Kentucky USA it was great and in February coming up in Knoxville TN I have tickets to see G Tate.
One of my favorite Record Store Day releases is from 2012, it's DEVO Live 1981 Seattle. I'm a huge Devo fan and that album was a big deal for me.

Hi Frank! I got the two albums I wanted this RSD – Lonnie Mack and Townes Van Zandt. Hoping to give them a spin today (between watching World Cup games.)
I think my favorite is Pearl Jam unplugged, and Bob Dylan's Blood On The Tracks test pressing from a few years back.
By the way – how is the quality of SRV at the El Mocambo? I read some not so great reviews about the pressing.
I forgot it was record store day, but I was browsing a local thrift store and picked up Tony Bennett at Carnegie Hall. It was in VG shape and he introduced "Left My Heart in San Francisco" as a new song.
