Perhaps a different breed like a labrador would be a better support dog. It seems some women see dogs as a fashion accessory and french bulldogs are a favourite.

My daughter has a little black labradoodle who looks like a Patterdale. When My daughter watches TV & her dog wants attentions she will stand in my daughter's line of vision and if that doesn't work she will pat the remote trying to turn it off.
Shes allowing it to lunge ,short lead lady!
