  1. You guys have insurance on the bin site right? Your insurance company has an extremely valuable interest in those bins not hurting anyone, not causing you losses, not damaging any of your other insured property and equipment. If it were me, I'd talk with your insurance agent to see whether and how they can use their weight (legally speaking) to bring the project to a safe, fully operational, conclusion.

  2. cracks in concrete are normal, concrete will always crack to some degree BUT those cracks are not normal. Could be an issue of bad sub grade compaction, too little reinforcing steel or the wrong PSI concrete. Theres a large number of reasons things like that can happen. That being said you need to contact your attorney and put in a call to the contractor to show them the issue. I dont think you showed whether or the concrete was tested when it was placed but for a build like that testing is a must. keep an eye on it, keep it safe and start going through the proper channels to rectify the situation.

  3. 23:24 Wow! that is insane. I don't think you even have to be an expert to know that is defective, and you definitely aren't over reacting at all, that entire pad will need to be demolished and re- done with bin etc. I'm not an expert, but to me just visually looking at that concrete pad it looks like it wasn't mixed properly and had too much water in it. I used to mix alot of concrete as a kid and i remember exactly how concrete would look when it was dried and the mix wasn't right, it just had this weak, soft, powdery, crumbly look to it.

I can see a huge lawsuit coming from this, compensation to have the bins re built and also compensation for the stress, down time etc for having to have it all re done. I remember how keen you were to have it all finished so you could just start using it and now you will have to go through all of this again unfortunately, but atleast this time it will be done right.

  4. You have a disaster waiting to happen. That whole setup has been trouble from the beginning. That wet bin is in danger of going down even if it's empty. Be careful and get someone on site that knows what they are doing to evaluate the whole setup.

  5. At this point, whoever built this setup for you should be forced to take it all down at their cost, reimburse all of your money PLUS damages, PLUS any money you may have had to pay to the co-op to store grain you should have been able to store at the farm. Then I would add in punitive damages for stress. This is absolutely disgraceful. I know you had issues with them during construction about showing up etc. I hope that every farmer watching your channel and considering a new bin setup sees what a shoddy company this is and they lose future business.

  6. I’m no concrete expert, but I would be Mach 10 aver those cracks. It’s aggravating to pay expert prices to people who do crap work. Curious to hear the plan and wonder if the company’s insurance is involved in this process.

  7. I for one, wouldn't be under it at all, stay away, and contact a Lawyer, cracks like that should not happen this early in the buiding of that pad, not thick enough and probably not enough rebar . stay safe and stay away from the bin.

  9. Seriously. Is there anything else that can go wrong? These monkeys who built this need to be taught a lesson. Still, Happy Birthday Cooper. Hope you had an enjoyable day, even if you were working.

  11. Cole , it's time to break out the lawyers and stand on the designers. Those slabs should be bigger past the legs and Alaskan design. It's all common sense. I hate to see you guys lose all that storage and money. You have enough to worry about in life.

  12. It is pretty obvious that the contractors that built your bin site are butchers. Time to get some engineers and then sue the pants off the contractors and get the site rebuilt properly. I was never impressed while watching the site be built in the first place.Concrete does develop small cracks but those are off the wall.
