There is a shuttle to and from Kidani & Jambo. Check with front desk.
The 10 miler is still open for the runDisney event in April. You should do it! I just stayed at AK Lodge for the runDisney event, but had to withdraw from the marathon due to injury. I did manage to finish the half marathon though despite the injury.

A few of our kiddos were thrilled to meet you Jan 2 at Rock N Rollercoaster! (sisters dressed as Rey and Padme, birthday pins) One of my favorite Disney memories was an overnight with 3 daughters at AKL. They did all eight bead activities, including cultural and animal education. (Christmas tree was there at the time as well- that one is second only to wilderness lodge and grand Floridian in my book.) You can use park/springs buses to go between Jambo House and Kidani Village, as well as a shuttle. Amazing cultural details and animal viewing!!
