The Executive Order 3066 is in fact probably a reference to the historical "Executive Order 9066" which was the executive order passed by the US president Roosevelt with the purpose to put Japanese Americans into concentration camps. Which is also what the Star Wars "Order 66" references.
Star Wars Episode 3 came out 19.05.2005, the volume of the manga where this is in should be vol. 15 which came out 22.11.2006.
But the 66 could also be an reference to some other things or just random.
Get used to those after credit scenes. They're pretty frequent from here on out. The thing to remember is: the credits and preview take two minutes. If there is more than two minutes of time left when the credits roll, there's an after-credit scene.
Yeah, onto the next episode will be seeing Armstrong's sister😁🥰 he call Edward to send his letter to his sister from the north. I hope you like his sister as miss izumi, elric's teacher. Envy getting a new ally to order him to capture scar that he took off along with yorki.
The one guy that screamed "they took my leg" also was one of the Alchemists Scar killed in an earlyer episode.
i might misremember this because it has been near a decade since i've read the manga, but if i remember correctly there was a part where armstrong had wanted to let some ishvalans flee only to have another state alchemist kill them anyway. i think kimblee. it was made clear that while the story called this a civil war, it was really a genocide sugarcoated to hell and back so the asmestrian populace would accept it as a war.
there was a fuckton of material cut from the manga when putting the ishvalan war episode. they really should have made it into a two or even three episodes affair instead of one.

It's not a Star Wars reference at all. Actually, Star Wars was referencing order 9066, which was the order to intern Japanese Americans during the second world war. They are both referencing that order. Dark times, indeed.

Mustang cannot change the politics of the country by turning himself away from Ishval war. It pairs with how they didn't have any options at that time, as a soldier, you obey or you are out (you'll see this aspect in the dynamic between Armstrong and the *new character*). The war set Mustang's vision to aim for the top of the government and be up in the game, instead of the idealistic, humbling inspiration he had before. I think what makes Mustang questionalble is because he somewhat functions as a politician which makes sense for a military state.
There is a lot cut from this section, like Kimblee killing two ishvallens Armstrong tried to save
Kimberlee is one of my favorite villain in this anime. His psycho but its more complicated than that

If you go back to episode 1, the Freezing Alchemist states Kimblee killed officers. As in military officers most likely of a higher rank than him. That is why he is in prison.
