  1. Boeing has been blocked from getting egg on their face for a long time. They just have so much more work to do. They also got twice as much money to make their spacecraft than SpaceX did. SpaceX has won big time on this.

Thrusters getting debris from the swelling seals is not good. And Boeing just doesn’t know enough about the problem cuz they didn’t think it could happen.

  3. As a aerospace engineer I’ll tell you a big reason why. Every colleague I knew that got a job at Boeing: knew someone, was a woman, or was a minority. My colleagues at SpaceX were generally higher quality and didn’t have connections nor DEI to get them in.

  4. I watched a NASA press conference a couple of days ago. Reading between the lines, I would guess that majority of Boeing decision makers were in favour of sending them back in the ‘repaired’ capsule rather than call in Elon. They were overruled by the NASA decision makers who thought it was too big a risk, (especially with their record).
Boeing should be cancelled from the program. They sent two astronauts into space knowing that they could have issues with the thrusters. They should have been forced to repeat the unmanned test which struggled to dock with the ISS.
The same authorities who agreed to the mission with Boeing & NASA would have made SpaceX ‘do it again’. The decision to proceed with this mission with two astronauts political, Boeing needed some good press and are years behind Space X.

  5. Who do you think fills the ranks of SpaceX? That's right, former NASA employees. Just think of the bureaucracy that's bypassed at SpaceX.

Knocking on Boeing isn't cool. Sure, they've had a ruff few years but never forget their history and innovations in the industry. And they are an American company giant.

  6. There are numerous Apollo Command Modules on display around the USA. Back in the 1960's we were able to build spacecraft with working thrusters. These were the now hated white men with sliderules and buzz haircuts. Maybe retrofit one of these and send it up to get these DEI astronauts.

  7. Yeah, and Nasa went 6 times 55 years ago to the moon , played golf , took a jeep and now can not rescue these people? Nasa just lie and lie, Fake moon landings . Elon knows this and keep Nasa under his power by silencing this big lie.

  8. They're right that SpaceX is coming to the rescue. But Boeing didn't make this decision. It was NASA. Boeing are saying that their Starliner is safe. But NASA (quite rightly) don't trust that.
