  1. This is climate change for you. They should have called it 'climate disruption'. More and bigger storms doing odd and erratic things is becoming the norm.

    Unless blowing sand from the African coast puts a lid on it, hurricane season might be a bugger this year. Last year there were 4 named storms in the Atlantic crossing zone.

    It👉could👈be a really busy time this year with even more. The sun shining more directly at the equator, plus the 1-1.5°C increase in atmospheric pre-heating may cause extra large, long lasting, storms. And the season may be prolonged by the heat.

    (In years to come, the future may give us storms north of the Tropic of Cancer from Spring till fall.) Along with these summer woes, I don't expect any diminishing of the wilder winter storms being dislodged southward by polar heating.

    A year without a summer, as happened in the late 1800s, is unlikely with increased warming, but a year without a winter is much easier to envision, given current and forseeable atmospheric conditions. My personal long, long range preparation forcast. Your milage may vary.🥸
