  1. But it remains to see whether the forecast I made the other day about the stormer on the twenty-eighth jumping to the coast that's what it's showing in this model but I'm still not totally betting on that. Lot of it depends on how strong that high is to the north of the storm, because like a hurricane, a storm always takes the path of least resistance. So if that high-pressure area stays pretty strong it'll Force the storm to transfer its energy off pretty much what I thought the New Jersey to Long Island Coast. Now if the secondary takes that energy and really wraps it up now we've got something that could be spent up a little bit more by the jet stream. Potentially this could be a major snowstorm. I think south of the Mass Pike special closer to Boston it would be more of a snow quick to rain mix sort of thing. Like a storm that's about to start occurring I'm not looking at a huge ice storm with this one as well too because I don't think they'll be that much cold air where the rain itself will be. I'll stick my neck out a little bit on this one and give you what I think a forecast would be if the storm does transfer its energy off the coast. The storm would have the potential of producing over 2 ft of snow where it's all snow. With the current storm that like I said hasn't really started as of yet right here in the Southern New Hampshire area even though it's showing snow on radar it's still evaporating on the way down due to dry air. Basically 2 maybe 4 in. tops along the pike. Listen to in say twenty miles to the south of the pike. Along the northern border of Massachusetts Southern New Hampshire, I think a solid 4 to 6in is likely. The Sweet spot will be Central to Northern Green mountains the White mountains in the mountains of Western Maine. These are the areas that I think could get 12 to maybe 15 in. Friday and Saturday we'll both be very cold temperatures in the teens to mid-20s in this area. Some modifications Sunday into Monday. Chance of a little light snow due to some of the warmth coming in Sunday night. Monday will be fairly mild, but colder air should start infiltrating back down into New England. It remains to be seen.

  2. Great video, but I would like to mention that S CA has issued a Blizzard warning for the LA area. This is the first one in about 30 years. The storm moving down the West coast at this time is big and may become a cutoff low. They are predicting several major passes with highways will be closed off. California has been complaining about the water shortage for sometime now and this storm should quench their thrust for a while. The mountains in CA are going to add several feet of snow on top of the record snowfall they already have. Now it may not snow in LA but it is going to be cold, wet and windy. They are expected to get about 3 inches of rain in the LA area.
