But you could be in the middle of a park or farmland and just feel the change in the wind,the quietness ,sudden snapping of limbs with no wind and knew that one was brewing. Even as a child i asked why dont they make all houses with safe rooms in basements or right next to the house?

For tornadoes prone areas/states. Stop building stick built homes. Traditional home no longer works as tornadoes are much stronger and destructive. And, new homes should have a bunker shelter for families as hideouts to save lives.

I certainly hope the good citizens of Iowa hold true to their core beliefs in personal responsibility. As such, I'll expect them to return any federal moneys that are sent their way. After all, they should be able to pull themselves up by their bootstraps, right? There is no need to make them dependent on socialist programs.
