  1. β€œOh, ya know, everything looks so good on the salad bar.”
β€œOh, heavens yes. Everything looks so fresh and delightful.”
β€œI’m just gonna have a small salad, maybe some soup, and then treat myself to some fro yo.”

Real talk, I hate that I forgot about this short. With all of the onscreen labor exploitation and environmental damage – plus being tied to one of the best Season 5 episodes – it disappoints me that this short faded from my memory. Probably because I was a lot younger when last I saw it, and the fact that it’s not as violent as, say, Catching Trouble (which was also clearly staged) didn’t convey as much blatant horror to my stupid mind.

Still, after giving it some thought, I can say that Catching Trouble is definitely the worst short they ever took on. The host segment that followed it was nothing but pure catharsis.

  2. Encyclopedia Britannica Films may not have been sold door to door, but they have been known for making some rather depressing "educational" films. For example, there was an adaptation of Shirley Jackson's short story The Lottery made in the 1970s, and it's not for the easily offended.
