MQ-9 Predator Drones; F-414 Engine Deal: India Gets Teeth To Deter China on LAC

During PM Modiโ€™s visit to the U.S., an agreement between India and the U.S to jointly build fighter jet engines is almost complete. To produce engines for the Tejas light-combat aircraft, Massachusetts-based General Engine would collaborate with the government-owned HAL. The last major acquisition was done on the eve of then-U.S President Donald Trumpโ€™s visit to India.

  1. I donโ€™t think that China will attack India. Some are being deterred by USA scared without reason .Take it easy !The world is going mad !I was a kid when the Cuba crisis developed to a millimeter distance before a Nuclear war could have taken place.Luckily someone came to their senses and avoided it !Therare some Western warmonger that push for a nuclear war against against Russia out of desperations because of Ukraineโ€™s defeats on the battlefield!
The cry is that Ukraine must not lose but it will. The Western weapons are no game changer against a superpower country like Russia ! Negotiate peace now before its gets out of hand !

  2. India gets teeth? The Russian Syrius is far superior to the US MQ9 in range, ceiling, flying time and armament. the GE 414 is an obsolete engine for an obsolete, by design and conception. Indian fighter that lacks the range, the stealth, the ceiling and the pay load for contemporary war.

  3. I think this drone deal will not make china worry as it will take few for the first drone to arrive in india.

As it is., china is already manufacturing various armed drones and exporting them to many countries.

China also currently operating hundreds of armed and survellance drones.

A few of these drones will have liitle impact as it will be divided among 3 services.

  4. There will be terrible deterrent to Chinaโ€™s expansionism once the drones are used in borders and seas . Enemy forces will get smashed between Himalayan hills and india as logistics movements are unfavourable to China . They want to bring supplies through pak ports via POK and through chicken neck / bangladesh . The drones will smash chinese forces bot at borders and seas

  5. Technology is dynamic, one equipment that appears to be advanced maybe obsolete tomorrow and countries are coming up with better new technologies everyday it is not a preserve of one country. Hence the Chinese drones may be more advanced than the US ones

  8. It is better to deter aggression than go out for an all out war and wreck our economy. The deals may appear expensive but it is a small price to pay considering our hostile neighborhood.
