Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a 2023 American computer-animated superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Miles Morales / Spider-Man, produced by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation in association with Marvel Entertainment, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. The sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), it is set in a shared multiverse of alternate universes called the Spider-Verse. The film is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson (in Dos Santos and Thompson’s feature directorial debuts) from a screenplay by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller (who both also produce) and David Callaham. Shameik Moore voices Miles, starring alongside Hailee Steinfeld, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Vélez, Jake Johnson, Jason Schwartzman, Issa Rae, Karan Soni, Shea Whigham, Greta Lee, Daniel Kaluuya, Mahershala Ali and Oscar Isaac. In the film, Miles goes on an adventure with Gwen Stacy / Spider-Woman across the multiverse where he meets a team of Spider-People known as the Spider-Society, led by Miguel O’Hara / Spider-Man 2099, but comes into conflict with them over handling a new threat in the form of the Spot.
In Earth-65, Gwen Stacy, secretly Spider-Woman, joins forces with Spider-People Miguel and Jess to combat a cross-dimensional threat. Meanwhile, on Earth-1610, Miles Morales confronts the aftermath of a collider’s destruction and faces the vengeful Spot. Gwen and Miles unite across universes to thwart the Spot’s dangerous plan, safeguarding “canon events” crucial to reality. As chaos unfolds, Gwen repairs her strained relationship with her father and Miles contends with an alternate version of himself.
“Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” delivers an enthralling narrative of multiverse-spanning adventures, diverse heroes, and the struggle to preserve reality. The heroes assemble an eclectic team to confront the Spot’s onslaught, revealing shocking truths along the way. The film explores themes of identity, choices, and the delicate balance that upholds the fabric of existence.

Gwen couldnt detect Miles at the blown up building because Spider-Sense senses Danger. Miles was never going to hurt Gwen so she cant sense him

Spider-sense lets you sense danger, not just any other invisible spiderman lol.

Spider Senses work a butt load of different ways. Gwen couldnt i believe cause there was no immediate danger, same as to why Miles didnt go invisible in the spider society. He was in danger, and they wouldve sensed him, same way Miles' universe's Spider Man sensed they were the same before he died, they were both in danger.
Better multiverse movie than EEAAO. And that film deservedly won the Oscar
I think you guys are taking what Miguel says about how the spiderverse works too literally, I think hes an unreliable narrator who is projecting his own grief onto Miles. There is good reason to believe that he is wrong about what causes the rifts, Gwens dad stopping himself from dying by quitting before he became captain is an indication of that imo.

The Spider Sense only works if the Spider Person in question is in actual danger. Miles never presented a threat to Gwen, so she wasn’t in danger.
I watched it 4 times 2 twice in theaters and 2 at home
I took my son thinking it would be an ok movie and had to go back the same week to watch it again with my husband. It might be the best animated movie I have seen to date.
Just want to say thank you for not watching it in theaters cos that’s a big sacrifice, I’m glad you guys were able to react to this! One of the best movies of 2023
