Hero Suzuki, a 35-year-old man living in Tokyo, is an assistant to a famous manga artist who has been publishing one-shots since his early days, but has remained unknown ever since. Not only is he struggling to make ends meet, but his relationship with his girlfriend is becoming increasingly strained. Too preoccupied with his own situation, the hero doesn’t even notice the changes taking place around him. It is only when his longtime girlfriend turns into a horrible zombie that he realizes that Japan has already been overrun by a zombie virus called ZQN. The once orderly city is turned into a hunting ground for zombies. When he is in a panic, he and a high school girl get into a cab and escape from the city after a lot of difficulties and dangers. According to the information they received on their cell phones, they head towards Mt. Fuji, where ZQN is not suitable for survival, and meet the survivors of the nurse’s group on the way.
