In tonightโs ghost story, we take a look at the Marshall Pass ghost train, a ghost that liked to appear in winter and chase unsuspecting trains

The second you started talking about the rgs I was waiting to hear Hyce join in
Wonder why Hyce has never made a citation needed about this story before. Glad we got to hear it from you thought ToT, great little ghost story!
"There's a crazy engineer coming down in us. We need to hurry to the switch"
"Harassment from ghost"
woooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
THE DIESELS SAID YOUR CYLINDER COCKS ARE TOO SMALL!
woooooooooooooooooooooo
hi there
I must say, I'd be interested to see what Hyce's opinion on this would be. I do recall one source noting the drivers on the chasing engine being "larger" than that of the locomotive Edwards was driving. It would be a fun deep dive into research to see just how real this story could be.
Thatโs really creepy wonder if the ghost train still haunts the railroad
Spooky
Whato all,
There are not many mountains between Hitchin and King's Cross so I should be alright.
The two most important questions are: What were they drinking and where was the bar?
One of my favorite theories about ghosts is that they are spiritual scars, an echo of something that happened in the past. Not really the spirits of the deceased, and can't really harm you, but you may feel the weight and horror of the unresolved or covered-up tragedy that left that scar on the spiritual realm in that place. Considering how many railroad disasters are covered up, unreported, or forgotten, it wouldn't surprise me if these ghost stories are echoes of such incidents making themselves known.
Happy Halloween everyone.
Could you try doing the Pope Lick Trestle Goatman? The trestleโs not only popular due to the goatman himself but due to the number of people whoโve tried to find the entity only realise too late that a train was bearing down on them
Once again just when i think Ive heard everything here comes the D&RG and the RGS with more stories that make me question them more.
The spirit of Mikey McGowen will haunt you with the smell of Whiskey
Spooky…
At least it wasn't Kenosha Pass…
Interesting note, this route was ripped up in the 1950's, but the old railbed still remains, and exists as a gravel road in some places. It can easily be seen from US 50 in some areas.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN, Train of Thought!!๐
Thatโs a very long message to write on a windowโฆ
Ghost stories. Always good to deepen my eternal disappointed in most of humanity.
Happy Halloween, ToT. ๐๐ป
PLEASE do a story on dread 107!! Haunted engine of the drgw narrow gauge
A total wreck
120 people died tragically on American roads yesterday.
Where are the ghosts?
@TrainFactGuy >>> Great video…๐
Quite the story, this one is. The amount of detail from the this written account is what intrigues me the most this. And who says wintertime can't also become a spooky season? That alleged message written in the frost of the cab window does seem like and awful lot to write on a cab window but if that was how it was actually spelled, then I'm not going to object too much.
These men are โengineersโ not your cushy โdriversโ
What a friendly ghost! He drove like hell and even wrecked his own engine just to make sure he could catch up and warn the driver about future runs
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ป๐๐๐
Nothing like listening to ghost engine stories while eating candy on Halloween
Happy Halloween guys ๐ ๐ป ๐
Considering the spelling of the message, it must have been a Gost Train . . . .
