Motorcycling in a New National Monument?

I’m exploring the Great Bend of the Gila, a proposed National Monument near Gila Bend, Arizona. I’ll ride my Husqvarna 701 motorcycle through this rugged area of the Sonoran Desert and explore scenic roads, historical locations and spend an evening motorcycle camping in the desert.

  1. So glad to have some fresh Sterling content! It's been too long, I actually came and hit your channel the other day thinking I must have accidentally unsubscribed. Cool trip through Gila Bend, thanks!! Definitely some cool spots to visit. Looks like the weather was perfect, too. Thanks Sterling!

  2. I am like you and always drive through Hila Bend since I live in Phoenix , but camped out there and ride this past weekend. It was beautiful, even though it rained. Will go back again. Great timing on the video post.

  3. Artfully filmed and cut! Thanks for your hard work Sterling. Off subject question about your 701 LR. Sometimes after having dropped my bike it runs very poorly, cutting out intermittently for several minutes afterwards. Have you ever had this problem with yours? Hoping to find a solution to another wise perfect motorcycle 👌👍😎

  6. Wow, just wow. The first 1/2 of this video is probably the best 10 minutes of moto YT I’ve ever seen. The time you take to get those wonderful shots really shows in the finished product. I wish we could see your videos more often, but I think we’ll take what we can get. Thanks again.

  7. Thank you Sterling. You've been missed. That shot of the birds was amazing. I also enjoyed this video format how the first portion was just you IN the adventure, and then following it up with info was perfect. I grew up in Phoenix and drove through Gila Bend hundreds of times but never stopped to really check it out. So thanks for that. I remember eating at the Space Age Lodge as a kid in the 70s. It's a type of Googie architecture (space age/ Atomic Age) and there was a lot of that back in the 60s. Cheers mate.

  8. Cool video! Sterling you referred to HWY 8 as "HWY 80" a couple times. Might wanna add an edit font or something. I mean, we all know what you meant, just giving g heads up.

  9. Great video, Sterling, and another great area to explore that you've given us a "heads up" on. Definitely going to pass this on to my brother in Scottsdale, and am putting it on my bucket list also. Kudos to you and Eva.
I appreciate your videos, Sterling. We folks with an adventurous heart, that live to far away to make regular ventures into the back country of Arizona can live vicariously through your camera.
BTW, you do alright with flying your drone, and getting your cycle out of mud at the same time. No stunt doubles or CGI……
