A 15-year-old girl is dead following a shooting on indy’s northeast side and her family is desperate for answers. Around noon on Wednesday, police were called to the Carriage House East apartment complex in the 10200 block of Aristocrat Drive North and found a teenage girl shot to death along a line of trees.

This is sad and eerie. I love that wooded area and often take nature walks there. I called it A Safe Place. I was just there on Sunday photographing the colorful scene, unaware of the scene just beyond. I can only imagine the pain her family is going through. I wish I had been there to save her. May God give you strength to get through this.
