that is what i call "a car" (not in plastic, not computered, not japanesed, beautiful design-slim, slender) so the opposite of today's shit. the america that i loved. from france.
Damn, didn't realize how nice these Marquis Brougham ACTUALLY were. I would love to have this year and model and I'm a GM, particularly Chevy guy. Imagine having this and listening to something like Nigt Fever by the Bee Gees!!!
$12,000.00 ? duuude you could buy a 400hp n54 bmw for that โฆ idk โฆ i guess when you DONT like something it doesnt matter how much or little it costs. i wont have it at any price! i think thats in the bible.
I had a '73 Monterey 400 and it would go 120mph all day long. Also, 20mpg when freshly tuned due to the ultra-tall rear end. Outstanding road-trip vehicle and we frequently seated 8 on the way to classic rock concerts. ๐
I had a green one, a two door the 429 was great, could beat alot of smaller, supposedly faster cars in their day even for it's size.frame rust seemed to get to them. Still a great car!
Lincoln /Mercury lost to moron designers. Look at the Lincoln's today. They look like platypus..
People bought these over Cadillac..

My parents had this model in a blueish color. It was in the shop every weekend. Everything broke.

Beautiful car. Not sure how serious all that white smoke pouring out the exhaust could be.
Great video and car. Sometime I would like to see you really open one of these old cars up and see what it can do!
Awesome thx
WOW ๐
Love it!
They don't make cars like that anymore.
I'm thankful that I grew up when I did (Gen Xer).
Nowadays I don't see these "land yachts" on the road.
When you shut the door on one of the Ford products from that era (I had a 77 LTD Brougham) it was a "solid" sound.
Old is the gold
The colour makes the car.

I had many 70s Ford and Lincoln automobiles but never owned a Mercury, I have a fancy for the 76-79 Mercury Marquis in black, presently looking.

Speechless. Best video of the channel. Best car in the world. Damn we need Mercury back.
My Dad had a brown 1971 4 door, Huge car! Drove 3 kids in the backseat to Disneyland in 1977 from Seattle. Great memories.
Not gonna lie I would love to have this as a daily driver.
Curious, is there anything you apply to the tires to preserve them ?
Dad had a 72 4 door. it had a 400 2v. Canadian car
My dad had a very similar 1971 Mercury Meteor Montcalm (Canadian model) with a 351 Windsor engine.
