Morning Good News | God’s Glory Revealed in Creation | Dc Danny | Feb 6, 2023

Monday: 2/6 God’s Glory Revealed in Creation. Peace be with you. In the 1st Reading (Gn 1:1-19) today, we are given these deeply rich words about creation: “In the beginning, when God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was a formless wasteland, and darkness covered the abyss, while a mighty wind swept over the waters” (Gn 1:1). Through the centuries we have come to understand the meaning of this verse. We understand that God has created all that there is. God brings order to creation and to our lives, interiorly and externally. Creation reveals God’s beauty, goodness, truth, love and care. Creation is ordered and intelligible; therefore, it can be studied; thus, the birth of the sciences. Psalm 19:2-3 tells us “The heavens declare the glory of God; the firmament proclaims the works of his hands. Day unto day pours forth speech; night unto night whispers knowledge.” As believers, we have a high regard for creation, as it is a gift from God and reveals God to us. Spend some time outside today, in creation. What do you notice about God? How is creation declaring His glory? How is God speaking to you? In Christ Jesus.
St. Paul Miki and companions – pray for us.
