Is it true that, if the destruction is declared a natural disaster, then the government can take the land without owner approval or reimbursement? vs If a crime was committed, leading to the destruction, they can't? I heard this the same time I heard the Governor talking about using the site of the destruction to build a memorial to those lost. Is this story of government seizure true & is it a state right or a federal option?

Where is the support for these people? Hey Dwayne Johnson why don't you step up and help these fellow Hawaiians. Nothing but crickets. You could encourage your hollywood friends to chip in and help them save their property from the State take over or developers. You could get the word out at least of the horrendous situation going on in Lahaina.

MFD CONFIRMED on camera that they were called to the brushfire headed to the town at 10am. At 6pm victims jumped into the ocean. Officials had 8 HOURS to perform a safe evacuation which could have saved hundreds of lives.
