It's a good spotlight, but Ed you should really use Soundtrack from the game in question as background music instead of pokémon colosseum, especially if the soundtrack is as good as that of Monster Sanctuary.
Too bad the combat is so weirdly complicated, it feels more like warframe weapon modding for status than training a mon to fight…
The area levels system is also a bit weird, you have to plan out what level you want each area to be in, or else you risk having weirdly leveled areas, like a level 5 area right next to a level 20 one.
I love light and dark forms though!
It's hard to explain how fun it is when your team synergy works well. Having everyone do extra damage on an enemy with poison, then stacking poison 9 times on them for massive damage. Great game 👍
Monster sanctuary was so great I was interested in it tried it out and was pleasantly surprised by how fun it was.

I never got into monster sanctuary. I had too much analysis paralysis the first time I opened a monster's skill tree, way too complex to look at for the first five minutes of gameplay. And I was too afraid of making a wrong decision and ruining my toad starter forever that I just quit the game.
Looks good.

This game was one of the first that IMO started monster catching genere to grow!
Its really cool and I LOVED how every monster is usefull, because of very well designed battle system!
I also LOVED how you can VERY easily customize your team, because there are team-save /load option!
The bestary was also very solid, but I WISH monsters had more animations.
Loving the format – short, concise, and on point. Keep it up! 😀

For people who think the game may be too hard i recommend the bird as your starter. Building around shock stacks is easy to understand, and something thats works for the entire game so you dont need to learn a ton of team comps.
I have fond memories of this game and I still play it every once in a while so it is really cool that you're talking about it 🙂

What I love is the fact that every single monster has its use in one build or another. Monsters don't get strictly better via evolution but change how they play. I adore this game so much.
I really enjoyed Monster Sanctuary, I've played it several times since it came out a few years ago. I keep hoping another one is made at some point.
Love this new format. I think the "shorts" have a wide reach, but 60 seconds just feels too short for anything but scratching the surface
Fun fact: While you are free to select your starting Monster, it can also be argued that the protagonist's "canon" monster is Spectral Wolf, because the other 3 NPCs (if they do not have Spectral Wolf) will always have the same Monster.
…I know I'm on the side of not liking the game's difficulty ramp, myself, but now is not the place for that rant.
