Monster Crown IMO was disappointing as fuck at a couple of key crucial times because it tried too hard to be vague and mysterious, I felt like I was left with more questions then answers, and not in the fun "wow, I can totally see a sequel" kind of way and more of in the "what the fuck just happened" kind of way. like why does me saying no to a guy lead me killing his pet bird and the other guy I just sided with? why am I invited to go to literal hell, only to not have a hell portal anywhere and instead I fly to a set of lands south of my island to fight a set of demons who have all this dialogue and animosity with little to no actual narrative exposition to explain who they are, what I am doing outside exploring, and what the fucking mask is.
aside from story, fuck them for making a card game when MC is still a buggy glitchy mess. I am phasing through objects, getting stuck in random spots, and my favorite: being subjected to having an entire town just lose character sprites. (I played it a couple weeks ago, it looks to have been out for over a year).
I had fun with it, but I guess the problem is that I feel more polish and clarity is needed with this crap, not a TCG.
Tomo looks alright I guess, it seems a little lazy in terms of type and capture device design but that is forgivable.

i don't get why so many "new and cool" Tcgs are comming out from small developers. I mean Monster Crown: the IP is small, there will not be many players. even if YOU are interested it will be hard to make other players try it (considering most players already have a tcg and investing in two tcgs is almost impossible if you want to stay viable in tournaments), second: can they provide locals for tournaments and leagues? just throwing out cards will not help anyone (especially will not make stores want to buy this stuff since it might just cover dust)
Why not make them like LCGs / Expandable card games ?

Tomomon looks good. Cassette beasts has tremendous potential, I played the demo and didnt look at the people that designed it , but they are probably artists first devlopers second, because those music tracks and sprites were incredible.

its disappointing that they have to rely on copying pokemon so much. Cant they use theie own creativity? Tomomon being a prime example. the only difference is 3v3 battles. Like they use pokeballs, tall grass, and same music. Must be made by a country that has no morels
