Monster Pit has cracked open in the mountains above the kingdom. Savage beasts pour forth to ravage the town as a lumbering creature charges the castle gates to destroy all within. Quickly rally mercenaries and procure equipment to force the abomination and its minions back to the pit from whence they came….
This game combines tower defense and tableau army mechanics together to create a strategic, event management masterpiece. Every mercenary or troop you hire gives additional dice to both attack monsters and procure additional gold for the following turns. Purchase equipment for your army, enlist bests and mythical animals, gamble for additional funds and heal stricken solders. Set your growing army against the minions terrorizing the townsfolk or make a frontal attack against the boss monster as it circles the high kingdom walls.
Unique mix of board game and tower defense mechanics. Lots of decision making. Event deck keeps up a level of RNG to spice up each turn. Multiple boss monsters and their variations of abilities and stats (as well as multiple different starting characters) means there is a lot of replay value embedded in this game.
Focus on building a good economic engine, and army setup, but make sure you don’t take too long, or you won’t be able to contain the tide of monsters flooding the kingdom.
