My personal thoughts on returning monsters is that through title updates and G rank expansion we are gonna get like 10+ dare i say 15+ more returning monsters, this game is HUGE with HUGE maps, its not make or break for me, but i feel like capcom knows they have GOLD on their hands, and every one of those updates will be like a reset button on playerbase peaks, bringing people back to hunt, and maybe pulling in some old vets cuz their favorite monster finally pulled up, and new players who wanna follow the hype, even if im wrong, this game is gonna be insane, happy hunting!

Demo would be great. Though, not sure if I gonna play that over and over. Maybe the annoucement of a early access with the pre-order would spice things up. But then again, I don't believe in miracles.

I think that it isn't a question of Arkveld not being as important to the game as we all typically expect just because of how early we encounter him in the game. One, this is still not the full game, so there could be a lot more that people who have had access to the game still have not yet experienced. Two, I think Arkveld is going to play the same as with Gore back in 4U, where we encountered him several times before the final fight where we killed him (only for it to apparently be a different one to the one we had been following the entire time, and that one went and molted into the final boss of the story, Shagaru Magala). I expect Arkveld to be the same. We will most likely have several encounters with him before we can actually kill him, unlike with more recent flagships where we have the first encounter, and then kill them on the second.
What if we get a brachy that uses the oil instead of the slime
In so many of these videos now you all say "in every monster hunter game we always get an ice locale", except in base world we didn't, we didnt get the ice locale until iceborne.
Malfestio would be a very interesting one to bring back. It has never been seen since Generations, and fits in the lower-mid tier to fill out. Plus it kind of has a unique moveset, as it is an actual bird, and not just a Bird Wyvern (Ku-Lu-Yaku) or Flying Wyvern (Rathian), giving it a unique skeleton. Plus, it can fit in multiple environments.
Not every monster hunter had an ice local on launch though. Thats the key thing, everyone keeps saying it will be a snow/ local ( with valid reason) but not EVERY game launched with it. They eventually got added into every game, but didnt start with it.

I know it’s really unlikely but I’d love to see Gammoth make a return! We haven’t seen it in a main game in a while and with the capabilities that this game can do it would be a fantastic hunt!

I know there’s a lot of hunters that aren’t thrilled about the story focusing on the people. but I’ve gotta be honest, as someone who loves Monster Hunter and has played it since 3rd Gen, the promise of a good story and more emotion to the game gets me super excited!!! Nothing in these games hits as hard for me as a hunt with a purpose!
Returning monsters are grate but capcom clearly wants everyone to see the new monster designs over old/returning one. We will get more monsters as capcom said will happen in future updates twords a G rank style endgame that we all know and love. Seeing returning would lower the excitement for brand new monsters. It's clearly a marketing tactic.
