1:47 I think that's a cool drink animation
why did no one talk about the trailer at the NYCC? they only showed rathian and yian kut ku fight? what's the rest?
Similar monsters isn't too surprising. We have multiple creatures IRL with similar traits but are different species.

That's the point of an open beta test though. It's a stress test
Gogmazios comes to mind wen i see that Oil based biom.
edit: there it is i guess xD
These new designs are so wild, Rompopolo is barely wyvernian
open beta soon hype! Love that’s it’s crossplay too along with the full game.
Too many ads on almost all videos… how inconvenient
I think this game is easily going to be a contender for game of the year
Black flame? Amaturasu?
If an oil based map doesn't bring back Gogmazios I'm gonna riot 😅
Oilwell Basin instead of the usual volcano fire zone is so exciting. Wonder if they'll do something similar for an ice map
And if the black flame is the apex of the oil well basin, then will the white wraith be the apex of the ice locale?
Capcom hit it out of the park and into the fuxking stratosphere
It's crazy how we haven't talked about possibility of new status conditions 🤯
2:45 BRO THAT SWORD AND SHIELD! 🥵
Why do people keep thinking “firebrand” is the proper name of something? It’s just a phrase that refers to Simeon with a fiery spirit or temperament.
I'm pretty new to monster hunter and I'm still learning to understand things. One of my friends got me into the game and he's pretty chuffed with how I sit back, watch and can quickly piece together mechanics of monsters I've not seen yet based on their classification/visuals; so watching this, I saw Rompopolo and IMMEDIATELY in VC recognized the brute wyvern animation sets, looked at its visuals and went okay its gonna have poison, probably have an animation where it charges up inhaling fumes and shit, can break the sacks on it probably if not sever its tail to stop it from detonating the silt.
Saw Ajarakan and went "oh hey that's using the Rajang rig" and that's about all I have as I've not even gotten past HR 30 in world (but I know what a Rajang is cuz it's hard not to with memes lbr lol. I know a lot of monsters I've not actually seen myself. Laggy my beloved. Yes I know it's not in world BUT the desert noodle is in wilds and that uses a noodle rig so POTENTIAL noodly bois mayhaps) because… I've been too busy smacking wildlife and learning weapons in the base end game (swaxe and IG yeehaw. Also HH).
Idk! I reckon I'm gonna have a lotta fun piecing together stuff because I think the BEST part about hunting in this game so far for me, is that it REWARDS patience and learning. I can't speak for later monsters in iceborne, but it feels really good to look at a Deviljho and go "the only meme I know of you is you're hungry as fuck all the time and get mad. And also pickle". But then recognise he's a brute wyvern built like an Anjanath so tail swipes, hip checks, maybe a stomp and a charge.
… I didn't expect to get a rock thrown at my face from across the area BUT YKNOW WHAT THATS WHY LEARNING IS FUN LOL.
ANYWAY POINT IS! Wilds looks fun, and I can't wait to see the ecological impact on the environments with hunting and stuff and if you're rewarded for sustainable hunting (I actually brought up yellowstone in VC and its wolf reintroduction and how that benefited the environment there in reference to MH, and part of me wonders if you can BAIT certain monsters by taking out keystone predators and leaving a power vacuum. Who knows! It's fun to think about!)
Am I the only one that noticed the snaping sound that came from Ajarakan's bear hug? Pretty sure that Rompopolo now has two separate spinal columns.
Ajarakan looks so much better than rajang, looks so inspired. Rajang always looked so boring and unoriginal
I'm so ready, man, and I'm off that week 🎉
i hope they have oiled up variants of existing monsters
The rompopolo armor needs to be a Romper lol
I wonder what other new monsters were going to see in this volcanic region and hopefully we'll see some old monsters like Gravios and or Akantor 😊
Excited for the game, but I'm not a fan at all of the oil map. It's so monochromatic and ugly.
Close enough, welcome back Voljang.
Rampopolo is essentially a fracking monster, and has an ugliness fit for that title
Wonder how long before America declares war on the oilwell basin
im begining to think that the monsters in wilds will be the ancestors of monsters we've seen before, didnt they say something about them being extinct species or something?
We should all just say the game is 'ready' for release and they will just let us keep playing indefinitely.
Apenamalo
Wilds better not be horrible or janky like Rise was. Hopefully the gameplay and fighting style is similar to Iceborne…
Don't the trailers seem Elemental progression themed?
Started with Electric (trailer 1), which is strong vs water (trailer 2), which in turn is strong to fire (trailer 3)
Does that mean the next reveal could be a ice area
when playing mh i like to chill but everything looks hostile and desertic
The new monster looks like if a Odogaron and a Rajang had a baby
Those Beta dates seems to suggest a 24hr period where it's not available. If I take past in the PS+ play then that ends in the small hours of Oct31st, and then I need to wait till the small hours of the following day to take part in the cross-platform beta.
4th arena is probably ice, we have a lightning zone, water zone and fire zone now, all 4 elements
I'm hoping for the return of Gogmazios, the elder dragon who's main diet is sulfur and hunts towns and villages for its gunpowder. With its oils spilling from its body, i think it's very fitting for the Oilwell Basin locale
Kecha Wacha got tired of being bullied about his ears so he evolved
The monsters are looking more horror-esque
Barring returning monsters you really have to appreciate how the wilds team is trying to give us the most immersive yet the most varied roster of monsters since 4U. We have mudspitting and tidal wave causing leviathans for water (idk if chatacabra can cause water blight as well), rail gun lightning blasts, fiery chickens, oiltapus with black flames, fiery rock rage monkey, Gas explosion mosquito, bear lol, and paralyzing spider so far. Can't wait to see what else is revealed and eventually when we see ice map. Then arkveld likely having it's own gimmick
Holy crap I’m so excited. Nakarkos was one of my favorite monsters right up there with Yamatsukami. Now we have another cephalopod with the Black Flame!!! It couldn’t get any more hype than this!!!
I saw that ps5 case at yodobashi in osaka!!! I should have taken a closer video of it!
thanks
