  1. Might be a hot take, but I don’t mind when they slap parts on a weapon for an upgrade. So if the done greatsword upgraded to the first base of a monster version then it makes sense, but when you level and upgrade up the weapon it should turn more and more into its own weapon until you hit the latter upgrades and its own weapon. I’m not sad that they won’t be doing this and I love that every weapon will have its own design, but the thought of visual upgrades with each tier just sounds right to me

    World's weapon designs were 1000% fine, even good, and never once took me out or affected the feel of my experience.

  3. Eh guess it’s a hot take but I kinda liked the idea that you were using the same weapon in a tree line just making it stronger by adding stronger monsters parts to it to enhance it. It’s a different approach, and clearly not a popular one lol, but I thought it was cool. That being said I’ve got no problem with more unique designs.

  5. Good to hear that each monster's weapons in Wilds will have their own unique design. I miss hunting monsters and after hunting them I would be so excited to see how their weapons and armor would look. It was so rewarding.

  6. 19 new weapons to match the 19FPS most people will be getting!
    I like how optimization was everyones biggest worry, yet nothing on that.
    Typical capcom, I feel sorry for the fans, cause even tho I know they won't accept it.
    Whenit comes out they will load it up, and have the same terrible performance.,

Potentially Hot Take: The problem with the 'Default' weapons in World was not that they had standardized parts to them, it was the problem with what part was the standardized parts and what was the custom part. Specifically, in World the Hilt and Blades were standardized, and they had a flourish. If instead they had standardized Hilts with custom Blades/The Part that does the attacking, people probably wouldn't have even noticed.

  8. The biggest things I love in my greatsword designs are big monster parts, large symmetrical blades like the royal set, and does it feel ALIVE. Having a greatsword that is living, breathing and looking around feels more like fighting with a partner rather than a sword.

  9. 5:36 If you look closely, the brain in said jar is in the shape of a cat head. It is just floating ther and will bounce as the palaco moves up or down, like in that animation of the hunter holding it.
    I HOPE to see plenty of silly weapons. Especially heads and other silly things on sticks for my hammers.

  10. Honestly I genuinely some of the "slap-on" weapons, because it meant I could mix and match when I wanted that. I don't think it's a suitable replacement for fully unique weapons for every monster, but I hope they are still available in Wilds through the layered weapon system. Just let everyone have the freedom to choose whether or not they want to use them.

  11. The idea for world weapons was cool at its core, but it was just poorly implemented

    For example, imagine glavenous gs, but you can change the way the tail blade was sharpened

    The idea wasnt bad itself, I just dont think theres ever going to be the budget to do it properly
