  1. uftuna or whatever is basically kulve taroth… same skeleton, similar movement, even the vail is there… this time instead of gold its… whatever that thing is
so yah monsters dont need to be calcified as elder dragons to be interesting, if kulve can be called that, but regardless of one's preferences that fat jagras was one of the top challenges in base world

  2. To be entirely honest. While I don’t mind if Wilds story isn’t elder dragon focused, I do hope we have at least a few at launch. And I honestly don’t want all of the apex monsters to be elder dragon level. I think that non elder dragon monsters that can match elders in power should be few and far between. So of our new monsters in Wilds I’m hoping Arkveld is the only new addition to that group.

  3. I think for a balanced story line and to not be so copy and paste format it would make sense is there aren’t many elder dragons because the storyline of MHW was the elder crossing meaning more sightings of elder dragons and if this game follows worlds story then the lack of elders would be perfect reason why they aren’t as many

  4. People are so stupid. Less elders mean more variety in monster design. And late game monsters can be impressive and challenging without being a dragon. As another commenter said, look at Rajang, for example. Hating the game for having fewer or no elders is such a low IQ take. Like, come on. At least wait to see the full roster until you complain 🤨. Edit: Also, I hope we get more variety in elements because usually half the base roster of MonHun games are fire monsters, and water is underrepresented, or they are just pushovers. Give me strong and intimidating water monsters!

  5. If i can only have say 3 elders, id want Namielle,Nakarkos and Dalamadur and id be perfectly happy. As much as i love velkhana (my second favriote elder after Namielle) im okay it sitting out after 2 games in a row.

Id like some elders but im okay if the games not swimming in them

  6. I think its closer to how the magalas were in rise/sunbreak. They will be there but they wont play much of a part in the story. Possibly as a way to show the power of the apex monsters as well as being on par to elder dragons.

  7. Wilds I think that if they are including elder dragons, it's going to be very late high rank, not to mention of something akin to Arkveld was symbolically holding the chains of something, like a gatekeeper. I got a vibe of we'll fight Arkveld in a colder climate perhaps towards the end, or something within some canyon of jagged rocks, and perhaps like I said being a "gatekeeper" that is holding something back. The Keepers are perhaps also involved in something similar, now I wouldn't be surprised if somehow we don't maybe see Gore/Shagaru return. Just kind of a feeling I got with things, Lagiacrus would be perfect seeing Uth's gameplay in the videos. It is just too perfect a setting to not have him at some point. If Uth is apex, lagiacrus would be right below/possible contender or rival. However for the monsters in general, and the level of care being given to all the fights we've seen with the apexes and perhaps even others? I've no doubt for both returning and new monsters we'll see all the love poured into their ai, animations and everything else. Wilds has clearly been shown to be their passion project, and it's become one of their biggest franchises, so it's wise to pour resources and go "Do whatever you need to do, to make it work right and be the best possible."

  8. Being honest, Sunbreak kinda ruined the whole "oooh, Elder Dragon" thing to me.
I had to kill so many to grind those stupid Anomaly Investigations that they lost all wow factor. I felt like "okay, let's fight Risen Teostra…again" just like any other regular monster
So not having many or any, but having enjoyable fights feels okay.

  9. I'm not really bothered by not having many (or not at all) elder dragon, they seem's to focus in adding all the monster know to date in the game, wild look's more and more like a monster hunter generation ultimate with each time they show new monster, i hope to see Nerscilla :O.

  10. Ive been saying this for a lil bit now that i would rather prefer a mh game where every fight has memorable moments rather than the endgame being what im trying to strive for. Each fight being unique also makes grinding more fun, you get to take the monsters quirks and flaws and master them like you would an elder dragon. Hell if every fight was like behemoth in mhw then i think it would be not only challenging but it doesnt just teaches to wail on a monster till it dies but to use your head and plan your attacks. Of all mh games ive played i have the highest hopes this give the same impact world did when it released.

  11. I do infact adore the fact that these beautiful beasts have their own home field advantage. Because it adds a layer of uniqueness to each creature. My mind goes to Tigrex because of the rocks it would throw at you can change based on the environment!
