  1. without looking at the video, rey dau is perfect for a low rank end monster,. There is no doubt there is going to be a high rank and master rank version with more moves and pain. btw the only reason why rey dau is too hard is because the mf always flies away every 2-3 min so first time solo took me 32 min and because i suck

  2. The thing that is concerning to me is that all of the armor sets were basically equal, and we're fighting all these monsters with what I assume are the starter weapons. There really shouldn't be any way we should be having consistent kills on the zone's Apex monster with the same weapons and armor that we get for the first fight in the game. That's my main concern.

  3. also monster hunter world and rise are both equally frustrating, in iceborne you HAVE to use the clutch claw in order to fight rajang and do damage without getting whooped by his superiorly faster moveset, in rise rajang is definitely slower and finally normal to fight, in rise however if you want to do your special moves now you have a timer called a wirebug. this sucks too, but less so than finding rocks like a fing cave dweller. Me thinks there is a time line between mh games, world is prehistory where people live one with the rock😂 and rise is ninja period 1600ish cause you got like cannons n stuff, also wtf is a rampage, it sucks balls having to do the worst part of mh as a mini game chasing running around monsters, i'd rather monsters stay in a arena so they don't move around like sissy b*tches😅. both are bad the only good mh is mh3 ultimate🤣 and wilds too if they can make rey dau flee less like a b*tch cause you just play and fight a boss without managing DUMB SH*T LIKE BUGS AND STONES WOW FINALLY A FUN GAME😛 (i like rise and world both btw)

  4. Around 300 hours in MH:World, 170 in Rise, and in the Wilds Beta I never once had killed Rey Dau. Maybe I was too busy running after it and trying to figure out how to play insect glaive now 😉

  5. This is the beta, not the demo. This is an apex of the first map, not the flagship. This beta let you actually pick gear with skills, unlike every demo we've had. This beta gave us full length hunts, instead of say "kill the flagship with a butter knife and paper armor in 15-20 minutes." These scenarios are in no way the same. I, honestly, prefer it this way. It gives new player s better look at what the game is actually like, letting you have gear to choose from that is somewhat impactful and you get full length hunts for every monster. No more inflating egos about killing the demo fight at all, only to forget that and wine about the real monster in the game being easier… When that was made clear from the start. This way of doing things is just way better in every way. It feels less like a hunt/duel between you and the monster if you are disrespecting them so hard that you are just watching the clock the whole time. As if the timer is your true enemy.

I killed rey dao with like 8 different weapons. None with impressive times or anything, I was getting use to the game and just having fun. I'm the type that avoids speedrun cheese like the plague because a hunt that's too short isn't fun. I don't want to knock back some shitty drink in a shot glass, I want to saver a good hunt and enjoy the chaos that can ensue sometimes like drinking a fine spirit. That's how you get the great stories for the pub, to share with your fellow hunters for years to come. My best was when I came home from a party with family, I was pretty dam drunk after that, and my buddy who started with Rise asked me if I wanted to do our first MR crimson glow hunt. I said yes immediately, not caring about how drunk I was, and picked up my HH… A shame that it was the wrong horn… Without a single healing song, I forgot that I meant to swap away from the malzeno horn to the narwa one. I was, literally, the drunken bard. Wasn't going to go to camp mid hunt to swap, I had my drunken pride to just lie in the bed I'd made. I carted twice but my friend didn't cart once and we killed him first try. I was a bit sorry but more so just laughing at how bad that went for me and how good it went for him. I was so proud of him that night. It's so rewarding to watch your newbie hunting buddies grow up.

  6. The demo monsters were never hard. The timer with garbage gear was hard. Make magnamalo 20 minutes and most people wouldn't find it hard.

Ray dau is perfect and cinematic and if you want to feel that old demo difficulty Impose your own time limit and reduce your armor to up the challenge

  7. my first rey was a 15.36 (or something close to that) and my last was a 10.1.13 the time is burned into my mind because i fell short of my sub10 run like 5 mins before the beta ended. im a gs main and also used no rock drops i definitely could have hit the sub10 with lure pods and rocks

  8. Uh the 4 star doshaguma investigation solo was harder than Rey dau solo. I think he was tuned down for the demo as they knew everyone was going to fight him.
I’d wait for a true demo or full release to judge anything.
People also need to remember we have all played many MH games now and have gotten much better over time.

  9. I'm bad at action gaming, so my best time (I was using IG) was 20 mins (both in co-op as well as solo).

That being said, I'd say the actual hardest fight in the beta would be fighting an entire Dosha pack (with 2 or more non-Alphas). That actually challenges your reflexes, because you won't have time to think about the weapon since you're busy focusing on the monsters.

  10. Okay, first: The balance of the demos never reflect the actual balance of the game, so you can't use the demo to draw conclusions like this.
Second: What makes you think Rey Dau is supposed to be really hard in the first place? Just looking at its moveset, I'd imagine Rey Dau to be a mid to late-mid game monster. Not an endgame uber-challenge.
Third: Rey Dau isnt even the flagship. Thats supposed to be the "White Wraith." And we know that the flagship of a MH game is never the big final threat of the game. The flagship is usually the intro to late game.

  11. For me it felt way too easy. If you think about killing an apex of zur first area with starting gear. Autohealing, counterhits and getting away with the seikret.

But i‘m still looking foward extremly motivated for the full game. They showed with Alatreon and Fatalis that they can do fights that still carting players until now.
