  1. having the ability to go back to camp and infinitely restock is not monster hunter. the new focus mode seems to be an accessibility feature disguised as a new battle mechanic is something they made for noobs and journalists who sucks at playing video game.

  2. I dislike the idea of ​​an open world, as almost no open world game is optimized for entry-level machines and is poorly optimized even for mid/high end machines.
    I'm happy that MH Wilds continues to evolve and still has its roots

  3. Wilds can do a thing where mid hunt if it changes season/weather if it isnt rhat monsters normal habitat it can either become super enraged cause its irritated by the uncustomed weather or it because more docile/exhausted because its supposed to bunker down/"hibernate" til the weather passes

  4. I really hope they build more of world and borne, not the narruto wire flying anime bs rise was. I couldn't even finish rise, to me it sucked so hard i couldn't play it and got angry at the opening screen.

  5. The living ecosystem and grand scale of the worlds is what really set monster hunter apart for me when I first got into it. I’m glad to see that, even as the game evolves and changes, it has still has that ecological detail strewn about its games.

  6. Literally the only thing I am afraid of for wilds is the camp crushing. Since you can make your own outposts that will get attacked and destroyed I am a bit afraid that this mechanic will take a bit overhand towards the end when you have more of them. So it switches only between defend this defend that or oh there are 2 or more under attack now choose one to keep and rebuild the rest….

  7. I love the open world and think this is the correct step. My concern is that half the game is spent in menus with builds and the other half is grinding. Since the world is living and breathing, my concern is if we can have consistent hunts at ANY time.

    I'll take guiding lands logic of "this is what is here, but you can also summon/hunt this monster" as the quest mechanic for grinding. As someone who has spent literal days grinding for mantles pre melding, they need to either have a different drop/forging method, or a consistent way to grind in a changing environment.

  8. I love Monster Hunter. I play MH3 Tri growing up has a 9 year old kid. I always dream of Monster Hunter being more lively and realistic.

    MH Wild has delivered my dream and i love it. If you are a BIG FAN of MONSTER HUNTER as i am. You embrace the change.

  9. Another good example of the astera gate is the Mhtri/3u gate to moga you can see the path down to the village and the whole village below. I always thought that was awesome.

  10. I think Jan of 2025 makes the most sense. Not just bc it's the same month world came out in, and we know how good it did. But mainly bc of GTA 6. IF it's still on track to release in 2025, it will dominate it's release month and probably the next few after. So them getting WILDS out in Jan to give it time to breathe and not be overshadowed by GTA 6 in close proximity.

  11. honestly if there are a few hub towns i think the game will be better, just having a few distinct towns will make it feel more real, also i need transport quests to be a thing still and not just grab egg take it here but escort merchant quests to X town or place would be kinda cool.

  12. I saw the same thing with breath of the wild, mario oddessy online. Pokemon legends arceus, elden ring and monster hunter world

    People who like the traditional layout of there game and don't like it when that game changes in unforseen ways. And most of the time most of the people with these kind of worries eventuality go hands on and feelvlike there was never a need to worry but for the minority it's exactly like they feared, And they go back online to rant about it, only to end up on a bad takes list lol 😆

  13. What do you think of the possibility that the new monsters are based on North American Cryptids i.e. the Chupacabra or Thunderbird. Also how awesome would it be if the map is kind of like a guiding lands but have natural barriers between the different environments which is why some monsters dont appear in other biomes but we can travel between them.

  14. One thing I hope for is for hammer to have the forms from rise, I think it made the hammer so much better. With world you had to constantly put the buff on which felt clunky and not really fun but the strength and courage stance improved on the weapon so much and as a hammer main. I beg for it to be a permanent change. Tbh the switch skills in general I feel made every weapon feel better

From what I’ve seen from the JP reports quest boards are still a thing so I’m fine because past the novelty of seamlessness I for the life of me don’t want to spend a ton of time to get to the furthest r locale to do a gathering quest. I’m sure fast travel will be a thing but I always believed fast travel was a crutch to cover up for the annoyance of what an open world actually is. Anyway if anyone can pull it off it’s the MH guys. So I’m cautiously optimistic they don’t bend to the whims of western games in an effort to expand market but lose what makes the game special. lost planet 3 anyone??
