  1. I know performance is a contentious issue currently with different experiences across a multitude of systems but as I say in the video until February we have no way to know how its actually going to be, Capcom are very aware what's happening and there's no reason not to have faith in what they've said about the performance of the current version that's way ahead of what we played.

  2. I would love one thing though like Focus Mode is nice and all, but at least let my hunter rotate a bit when not holding that darn button down, like in older titles, the weapons other than SnS, Hammer and felt relatively unresponsive when not using that button.

  3. The beta did make me think it might be time to upgrade to a beefier PC at least, had my current one for about 4 years now and it works fine for pretty much every game i have now but ot struggled a bit with the beta, overall it ran decent, I did have a couple polygonal monsters and quite a few triangle people and textures not fully loading on monsters, but otherwise performance for me was pretty stable.
Also there's a very obviouse use for weapon switching with monsters that have phases with different weaknesses, specfically if youre using elemental weapons

  4. Am I the only one that feels like Wilds is, slow?

Attacks seem a tad slower, your attacks and dashes don't move you nearly as much, LongSwords helm breaker is a good example, you hardly gain height compared to World, The limited amount of monsters we fought, they don't move around as much or as fast as World.

This isn't a terrible thing, you might say it's a good thing, but I wasn't used to it, and it will take a while to get used to it, who knows, it might be better.

Also, I don't think weapon swapping HAS to be different weapon types, maybe you could just swap elements for monsters that change like many of the monsters do in World, Kulve Taroth armored with gold vs not for example

  5. This was my first monster hunter ever and I absolutely hated it.
Then my friends showed me how to actually play it and damn I made my mission to kill all those damn dogshumas for 20 hours straight with my charge blade going full throttle.
First kill 30 mins last kill 6mins and the ceiling to improve is insane.
Honestly this has the potential to take at least 500 hours of my life.

  6. I wish it was more common for games to have absolute potato settings, so that filthy poors can also play.

If I was a coder, I'd relish the challenge of optimising a game to run on potato specs, but mh wilds seems to have the polar opposite ethos.

Guess I'll play in 10 years, if I'm still alive and the world still exists.

  7. For exploration, i wish everything wasnt auto filled on the map, and the material/collection spots fill out as you explore and enter a zone. This is supposed to be a unexplored regions after all.

  8. seeing how half a million players played at the same time in lobbies with people who were from different countries i think it ran well enough, it could be better sure.

the vram usage needs to be reduced(it used up 7gb of my 8gb of vram pretty much)but overall i had a great time just hunting and exploring.

i had one major bug but i was able to fix it quickly.

  9. Wait…if Hollow now "gets it", does that mean we may receive wilds videos with everyone tagging in the hunt?? I cant say ive tuned in to a josh cotton AND hollow on the video to drop the humor like a hammer on my tippy toes.

  10. I’m pretty sure they’ll be private lobbies just like world that was my main issue out of the whole beta is none of the weapons have that impact you know that crunch like the previous monster Hunter world even rise 😅had just the impact of the weapon and you could see the damage and you felt it with the sound. This one doesn’t have it. The only weapon that I felt that had it was the gunlance and bow which is a beautiful weapons ❤on here. I really hope they fix it.😢

  11. Weapons were wildly unbalanced, of the ones i had time to test properly, some did extreme damage, while others barely did any, some had a multitude of great defensive options AND damage, while others had neither. The game needs a heavy handed balance pass before release, otherwise we're just gonna see the same weapon/play distribution, where over half the players is using less than half the weapons.

  12. How's the multi-player tho. Tried play monster hunter in past with friends. There where alot of restrictions like they had to be at same point and it was just hard in general to play together. Will friends be able join at any time? Can they explore with us or only during a monster hunt? Also is it open world now cus I hated the mission timers on hunts.

  13. My gameplay was nothing like what yours looked like… I didnt even make it to the point to see a monster before I shut that shit down. Hope they do a metric ton of optimization. I'm not even near the minimum specs needed and this is the first MH I'm not excited for now.

  14. 3:57 I played worlds' pre-release beta on PS4 and like it, and absolutely hated the actual game. I sincerely doubt the level of depth of any monster hunter game due to it's bloated identity based sandbox. Weapons don't feel like tools they feel like flavors of ice cream where it doesn't matter which you pick. I like the puzzley feel of the beta I had played in worlds, and seeing the sheer amounts of time wasted sitting on a bird just to see a bunch of maggot-like lizards squirming around to ignore simply has me in full disbelief that it's even worth trying.

  15. I'm truly hoping my desktop can handle this game, been a big fan of MHW since it came out, lots of fun an frustrating memories of the game. That being said, with living on a very strict budget, I have the money to buy the game, I just hope my desktop can handle it.

  16. My experience was almost perfect except for one bug only thing the game needs now is for when you partner up with friends they don't get ejected back out afterward and gotta rejoin or make it simpler to join your friends lobby or hunts also your attacks don't have as much feedback like how helm breaker sounds in world or how the true charged slash sounds
