Melanistic versions of smaller monsters is not something I was expecting… So now I wonder if they're going to have random 'albino' or 'melanistic' variants to collect. Pie-bald would be amazing to see!
Rage! I'd love to point put even the golden horseshoe crabs are back! With a bit more detail even you can fine them in the main area torwards more of the side of the map they look so awesome! 😊
Just FYI, you can now catch Wedge Beetles in your net, for those that didn't know. Just found that out today.
I think the black version of the crests both is a melanistic individual so it will be interesting to see if there are albinos

I don't now what to do until full release so one the beta ends I'm just gonna scream for a while
I think the "shiny" thing has alredy been deconfirmed. Ive seen some people say that they're a after effect of getting previously hit by rey dau and being basically carbonized, that its not just a rare color that's why people have a hard time finding them . Its been seen with ceratonoth and talioth i think
I mean, capturing rare endemic life is cool and such but they wont get transferred in the main game so its just a waste of time imo
Subspecies being a result of a rare natural phenomenon having an effect to them could be the best way to introduce them, and making them rare to spawn in this open world isnt a bad idea either. Hope capcom introduces them like that

You know the little raptors? Can't remember the name, endemic life though, you can also get black ones of them. They come up as rare too. Super fucking cool man.

While I was playing for the first time today, I was doing my usual endemic abductions and wandered upon a black windrustler.
Rey Dau took me 30 minutes xD
One thing I discovered it that all the uncatchable endemic life in the old games (wiggly leechy, wedgebug, bitterbugs, godbugs) can be caught with the capture net

Lol I was swapping servers hoping to get the sandstar to spawn during the night clear cycle, and I got super lucky. I ended up spawn camping one digging out of his burrow and just kept spamming net on top of him and caught it. Now I just hope we get personal quarters again to display our endemic captures.
I saw the glowing white thing on the dunes while I was in the middle of fighting a Balahara. It disappeared before I could equip the Net.
On a different note, one of the tents in the base camp seems to be an Endemic Life research center. I expect to get Endemic Life related requests from them.
For anybody trying to catch the sand star you can stun them by hitting them with a sonic bomb which causes them to roll on the ground and makes them easy to catch. Their discription says they have sensitive hearing

Endemic life in monster hunter has always been one of my favourite features and always will be
I think the inaccessible area in camp probably leads to a training room, thats why there are weapons out front. Why they couldn't have put the training room in the beta is beyond me because I feel like I'm really missing it honestly, but whatever. I think the room will be on the boat as well, because then presumably the boat could travel other places and you would still have your room on it.
Just caught the Sandstar! Not too bad. A little bit if chasing, but he likes to stop periodically. Just shoot ahead of him and he'll run into it!

I've found some Tracktail geckos that're "good at tracking" and "always travel in pairs." They stand on their tails like sentret's from pokemon lol

you can also catch butterflies near the camp and when you catch a godbug in your net, you get godbug plus an item from it the same is also with wedle beetles 🪲
The entrance you showcased at the end is most likely going to lead you to the training area. It has weapons sotred next to it and it's located at the back of the camp, which seems like a pretty good spot for something like that. The ship seems more fit for housing quarters imo; it'd also explain why we can't go on it in the beta test.
Where do you put the captured pets? IS It avaliable the house on the beta?
