Monkey D. Dragon's GREAT MARINE CONSPIRACY (One Piece Theory)

The revolutionary army remains one of the story’s biggest mysteries. What is their final goal? How do they truly plan on taking on the world government? And why are the marines going to be a critical part of that plan?

Maybe we’ll find our answers with Monkey D. Garp…

  1. great theory! one small issue at 10:52, though. sogeking shot the flag. not usopp. i know theyre easy to confuse but just remember that usopp is from syrup village and sogeking is from sniper island

  2. What do you guys think about Dragon being the son of Rocks and not Garp? This would then mean that Luffy's mom would be Garp's daughter hence making Dragon the son-in-law of Garp and not his own blood relative. It could also explain why Garp just refers to Dragon as Luffy's father. I don't think there were any panels where Garp distinctly says Dragon is his own son but I could be wrong.

Also, if this were to be true, I'd imagine that Garp told Dragon to take on his family name ("Monkey" D. Dragon and not "Rocks" D. Dragon) in order to avoid the World Government trying to come after him for being the son of Rocks. You could think of it like Ace becoming "Portgas" D. Ace and not "Gol" D. Ace. The World Government didn't know he was the son of Roger for the longest time but we all know what happened after they found out. However, considering that we know so little about Rocks and even the God Valley incident, I'd imagine that when the World Government finds out that Rocks had a son this whole time they would definitely act way quicker than they did with Ace.

  3. 3 people from the monkey family, 3 heads. Now remember the number 3 is heavily associated with Blackbeard, his flag even sports 3 skulls. With the theories going that Blackbeard has 3 people within him, there might be a connection there that brings the Monkey Family to face off against blackbeards 3 heads, whatever those may be.

  4. If all of this turns out to be true then it gives more meaning as to why Garp chose not to intervene in Ace's execution. Essentially, if he acted on saving Ace, he could risk ruining the plans of a coup even happening.

It could also mean that he had to chose between starting the coup right there at Marineford knowing it could save Ace, but knowing internally that the coup itself would fail, or he chooses to let Ace be executed because he knows that they can't risk the Marines/WG finding out about the coup.
