Mongoose Attack King Cobra To The Death And What Happened Next?

Mongoose Attack King Cobra To The Death And What Happened Next?
The king cobra is one of the deadliest and most feared predators in animal world. They bring terror to other animals by their deadly venom. But in the opposite direction, the mongoose, despite its relatively small size, is the “opposite” of all snakes, no matter how strong their venom is.
Not only agile, cunning, this animal can also be immune to snake venom in animal world. Thanks to specialized acetylcholine receptors, which confer resistance or immunity to venomous snakes, mongooses are renowned for their ability to kill venomous snakes, especially cobras, their favorite food in animal world.
The venom of the king cobra blocks the acetylcholine receptors of its prey in animal world, preventing communication between the nervous system and muscles. Scientists have discovered that the mongoose’s acetylcholine receptor, like that of snakes, is slightly mutated so that the venom is bounced off muscle cells, leaving them unharmed.
When attacking a cobra, the mongoose often stands upright, confusing the venomous snake in animal world. The mongoose, like many snake hunters, will try to bite the cobra from the back of the head. This is a fatal bite that still helps the mongoose avoid the sharp, venomous fangs in animal world.
Usually when caught up in a fight with a king cobra, the mongoose is the more proactive, as they constantly rush in with a flurry of attacks in animal world. And the cobra seems to be quite bewildered, when half wants to fight, half wants to run away. However, it also delivered many fatal bites towards the mongoose, leaving the animal in tatters and shaking in animal world.
Despite its small body, the mongoose is, in fact, a carnivorous animal.
Even so, the wars between these two species are always dramatic unknowns in animal world. Both have distinct advantages and tactics. Although the majority of victories go to the mongoose, the results are not always the same in animal world.

  1. That is beyond Matrix style getaway…runs one way and twirls his body the other way , to avoid the Cobra strikes. Beautiful job with slow-motion capturing this!

  2. As seen in video , an individual among mongooses is not agile , deadly enough to subdue a cobra . Needs a pack of mongooses comprising of 3 – 5 ones that some attack behind cobra to injure wounds enough to cripple , at last the cobra will be subdued
