Liz and I enjoyed a brief vacation day at the Grand Californian thanks to the kindness of a wonderful fan of the show. We spent most of our Sunday out getting poolside drinks and nachos, not caring about social media for even a minute. It was wonderful. The next morning started with breakfast on the balcony of our of Grand Californian room looking out over Downtown Disney. Wonderful. And then we went into the park at around 10 am. Going against every instinct I have as a frequent visitor of Disneyland. But even though the crowds were pretty bad, (you can no longer say Disneyland is slower during the week), Disneyland still came through…because Disneyland is that good.

I just got back from yearly 3 days in the parks in the parks and I really just hate it. Supercrowded and rides were constantly breaking down. I think the most I counted at 1 time broken down it was 8. I get that ridesbreak down and I get that maintenance needs to happen but the problem when that many rides break down is all those people have to go somewhere which makes all the other rides an hour plus. That part of the Disney magic is gone for me. And Monday seems to be an awful day to go because everyone thinks it's gonna be less busy so everyone goes and then it becomes busy

We went the 12th through the 17th, and crowds weren't as bad as you are showing. Wednesday and Thursday were the least busy days. What is going on this week?

Monday has always been the busiest day, when I worked in the park in the 80’s, we doubled our staff on Mondays.
I was at DCA when you were at Disney and I was also shocked at how busy It was on a Monday! When I went on a Friday a few weeks back It was perfect
