British paratroopers who dropped into #Normandy ahead of #D-Day commemorations were met by French border officials.
Hundreds of #soldiers jumped into the same rural drop zone which was used on D-Day 80 years ago on Wednesday.
Footage shows soldiers wearing camouflage combat gear walking towards a temporary customs check and producing their travel documents.

As a Greek, I always feel that the British people are a part of our European family. I really wish and I hope that one day UK will return to our common house, EUROPE. Together we are stronger and we can build a better future… TOGETHER. I know, EU is not perfect. We really know that here in Greece. BUT, we always can be nice to each other, learn from our mistakes and do our best. At the end of the day, we have common values, beliefs and culture. We are all Europeans and we have to deliver to the next generations a better home. Sorry if Brexiters don't like my opinion, it's their right. I am just saying my humble opinion….

But honestly it’s difficult to know with French officialdom whether it’s calculated insult or just a tone deaf and rigid adherence to the letter of the law.
Standard border checks at point of arrival into France. Even pre Brexit, Uk was a non Schengen Country. So this has always been the case.
I also remember this on Guy Martin's D-Day air drop episode.
Because they were leaving to go to a pathetic third country not arriving.
Anyway ,one of the british paratroopers has a very tonic smile on his face! An outstanding race of people!
