The mother of a 15-year-old boy who died Wednesday, days after a shooting near Atlantic Station that also left a 12-year-old boy dead, spoke publicly on Thursday.

Jackson’s family has described him as a teen who loves science, animals, cooking and riding dirt bikes. He also had been practicing boxing since he was just 9 years old.

  2. My 🙏🏿and Condolences goes out to his mother and her family I lost my son @age of 19 was murder @home drive by shooting shot my house up 30times. By teenagers and until this day 👁️grive everyday.11-17 last month my son been gone 20years 💔😭evertime I here about our young children getting shot behind Gun Violence needs to stop🛑 and somebody grown is purchase these gun 🔫 are these kids stealing their parents 🔫 guns it's time to put these charges on the parents for the Murders of our children's

They really asking Stupid Ass questions! Do they ask white folks these things?? They will Never care because it’s not their White kids! This here got me crying 😭 please let's get a solution to all this gun violence my son was just shot twice In August and we both worked from him being shot knowing it's only him and myself has took a toll on us cause now we living off only my income got shot after burying my aunt so whole time he been in hospital it's cost us fall behind on rent,bills etc and I know this my only son and he the baby but I know God got me I just hope they prosecute my son shooter which they caught and he posted bond but yet we still trying to get a grip on life from this shooting
