MOH rejects 'egregious and false claims' by People's Power Party about COVID-19 vaccines

The Health Ministry has rejected what it calls “egregious and false claims” by the People’s Power Party, which is seeking to halt COVID-19 vaccinations in Singapore. In a social media post signed off by its secretary general Goh Meng Seng, the PPP claimed that vaccines have caused high incidences of severe side effects. The post also tried to link high vaccination rates with excess deaths. Rebutting the claims, the Health Ministry said there’s a need to draw the right conclusions and follow scientific evidence on the safety and effectiveness of the vaccines. It added that, while there are side effects to any vaccination, scientific evidence overwhelmingly shows that protection from vaccines outweighs the side effects.

  1. We Singaporeans resolutely reject MOH egregious and false claims of SAFE AND EFFECTIVE. You neither provide the names of these so called assperts nor furnish any data in your rebuttal. Are you a joke?

  2. MOH, we dare you to open up your books. Let 3rd party scrutinise your entire data collection from 2020 till 2024. And how you classify and categorise unvaccinated, and fully vaccinated.

  3. The MOH's statement is NOT absolutely correct. Papua New Guinea's vax rate was only 4.6% as of March 2023 when I debunked the govt. White Paper on its handling of the C-19 pandemic, out of a population of nearly 10 million. YET its infection rate is low & so its hospitalisation/death figures………..as I'd stated in my debunking, but MOH chose to ignore the FACT!!! Like I said, I'm prepared to take on MOH & ALL the SGP so-called "experts". MOH's approach is typical of the LACK OF CRITICAL thinking by the "elites/experts" in the govt.

  4. Lim Jue Tao's citing the concept of "herd immunity" as benefit of vaccination is misplaced, b/c none of the Covid vaccines prevent infection nor onward transmission. The myth had long been busted w/many reinfections of vaccinated people. The scientific reason why this is so is that vaccine injected into the body do not induce the antibody in the upper respiratory tract and antibodies produced from non-mucosal lymphoid tissues of the URT could not cross from blood vessels over to the lumen of the URT. See Kathryn B Renegar & Parker A Small, Jr., Journal Of Immunoligy, 1991 March.

  5. The risk of heart inflammation is still there. Rare may be a matter of proof/attribution and may be less rare than it appears. And when you say rare what is the observation period? Some Vaccines are tested for many years before they are used. These statements should sett out the limitations.

  6. I put a link to a study by a US university here, which clearly shows that the vaxed are LESS likely to contract Covid. My post was taken down….I wonder why?

  7. 1. Did 100% of all PAP MPs take all the jabs?
    2. Why MOH can only reject and not POFMA his claims?
    3. Show us studies that myocarditis occur more frequently after covid instead of after vaccination.
    4. Why does a doctor state 3 out of 20 chance of dying only for the older age group, but not elaborating the super low risk to the majority of the population? If true, how exactly is the benefit-risk ratio calculated.?

  8. Had the PPP mentioned the "Must Share News" (MSN) report of Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu's second COVID-19 bout when she tested positive on 15 December 2023 upon her return to Singapore from the UAE and after getting vaccinated in November 2023, then the PPP would undoubtedly be very credible!

  9. MOH Please Provide the Clinical Trials data for the latest vaccines claimed as safe and effective by you and CDC/FDA. As far as I know Pfizer and Moderna has done little or none.
