Our second simulation of a Chinese Carrier Group striking the ships in the USN port at San Diego. This time we bring the latest strata of weaponry on both sides. The Chinese add Type 055 Destroyer with Hypersonic YJ-21 and Supersonic YJ-18 and YJ-12 Missiles. The US use Flight III Arleigh Burke Destroyers with SM-6, SM-3, SM-2 and ESSM missiles, with F-35 5th Gen support.

I’m a real battle, I would expect the enemy to attack all flat tops even an inactive one since there’s a chance to put her back into service in a pinch like the Iowa battleships.
So what kind of hardware are you using to run these modded matches? But you also have a server you don't use? whats the specs and what is the story?
It's not 'M-CAS', it's 4 individual letters for Marine Corps Air Station. M-C-A-S.
LCSs are hardly survivable anyway; they're too lightly built because of the speed requirement in their design spec. They're a one and done; if they get hit, they're finished.
I'm hoping to build a computer soon that can handle VR without frying the CPU. I discovered while running the Mirage 2000 that my Trident3 was running at 93°C. I'm happy I didn't melt the processor, but I've been grounded since. 😢
I also plan to learn the radar system better; it's much more complicated than I anticipated.
The base sure have Alert fighters and fighters that on Patrol
I think the F15's from Fresno is a good call, especially because as dated as they are they are still extremely deadly. They might even have been able to have some with antiship missles scramble, not sure as they'd normally have more time so might not have that config ready but possible.
what is the range of f35?coz its ran out of fuel..
055 literally can carry 112 yj-21, it will be nice to give that a try just for fun
Great video, 2 small remarks:
1. As far as I know the USMC has been refitting their legacy hornets with the AN APG 79 from the Super Hornet, so using f18f in the simulation was pretty valid.
2. Just like in Pearl Harbor, after the 1st 15min probably at least one ship in the harbor would be manned and at least its air defense would come online.
In addition to MCAS Miramar, we also have NAS North Island and Camp Pendleton
The unrealistic thing about this isn't the strike group not being spotted, its China having a blue water navy.
In the real world, the US would be launching ant-ship missiles to disrupt or hinder the Chinese continued attack.
The stars are backward on the F35s.
Realistically, Lamoore would launch out. Luke AFB would also and would be used to clean up the mess. The harbor would be emptied if possible.
Grim Reapers sims are always skewed toward Western forces. Hypersonic missiles are soooo hard to shoot down, that's why it's so hard to shoot down the SR-72. But on sims with hypersonic missiles, without an exception 70+ Chinese hypersonic missiles will be shot down by ESSM or SM3 because that's how good they are. Really??? I have a feeling if Grim Reapers simulated the IJN attack on Pearl Harbor, all 4 IJN CVs would be sunk with loss of a couple of destroyers at Pearl Harbor.
OK… I was on the USS-Nimitz CVN-68. We were stationed out of Bremerton Washington at the time. We would take on our air wing in San Diego and make port for a few days for supplies before going on Westpac's. Can't wait to watch this as I knew the base as it was until I got out in 97'
America has like 20 air craft carriers. There’s no way a missile would make it that far 🤣 Plus American weapons from the 80s shot down every single hypersonic missile of russia. There’s no difference between Russia and china in terms of military, except the Chinese will be worse considering their army, navy and Air Force don’t even work together, but instead compete against each other lmaaaaao

China probably won since they hit a ship in port. Apparently, the Navy culture in port especially during a shipboard fire is bad at this point of time. They need to fix it. The best example is the loss of US Bohamme Richard, F35b carrier due to a fire in port.
The Chinese death ☠️ cult communists could sail their aircraft carrier & associated vessels right up to the edge of international waters and our incompetent (see Afghanistan pullout & no fielded hypersonics) woke military would do jack shit. Not to mention they already have multiple battalions of PLA soldiers already embedded into our country and more than likely they have some number of missiles inside containers in most of our ports. But at least we have the most diverse & inclusive military ever. 🤡 🌎
