  1. My earliest costumes that I can remember started with super heroes like Spider-Man & Batman, then I moved to movie costumes like Godzilla & Darth Vader, after those I got into make-up costumes like members of the Rock group KISS, Gene Simmons was my early favorite then later Paul Stanley. By my mid twenties I stopped the make-up & just used clothing & props for costumes with my thoughts leaning towards practicality of the ease of cleaning up, changing up, being able to get in establishments with stricter dress codes for the after party parties plus who needs the hassle of make-up & costume removal when you & your date are hot to trot with no time to waste.

  2. One reason Halloween is great is because next Sunday is the time change and we lose an hour of sleep. Then in southern California Santa Ana winds are hitting hard in November which brings 15% humidity. November is the worse month here.
