  1. Sadly I know people that lie just as much and they too would probably rather die or go to prison for life than admit they were liars about anything. I have no idea what makes people so delusional.

  2. I've seen his one filmed "pro" bout, and even though I'm nowhere near a black belt level grappler myself, Torre's ground game looked TERRIBLE, despite the fact that his opponent very clearly took a dive and accepted the kneebar loss. Considering Torre is supposed to be a BJJ black belt, he looked like a one-stripe white belt, at best. Even that might be too generous, because he didn't appear to move like a competent amateur mixed martial artist, much less an undefeated professional. Thank goodness it's becoming increasingly difficult for fraudsters to pull the stuff they used to get away with before MMA became more mainstream. Great video, Mr. Nerrera! I was somewhat aware of the subject, but you included key details that were entirely new to me. You've outdone yourself again, and I hope this video does big numbers for your channel!

  3. I met this man on a few occasions. Back in the early 90s in Orange County, California, Chris Brennan was running a very successful jiu-jitsu/mixed martial arts school at the time, he had his Westside strangler tournament that brought in some fairly high-level competitors. What struck me the most about Raphael, was that he would show up to these tournaments, claiming to be a legitimate black belt, but he would never ever roll with anybody. If you would ask him to train, he would just say I’m gonna take it easy today or just drill technique. He would never go live. at the time we really did think he was a legend. He did such a good job back in the day with underground, forums and writing martial arts based articles, that it seemed plausible.

  4. Eddie Bravo telling the kumite story is funny as hell. Also Torres tried to slip his way out of future MMA fights after his fixed fight by commenting about how hard his opponent hit, and that he (Torres) was done with fighting. The knee bar, as Bravo would say, was fake as fugggg.

  5. I really thought you was going to say "There was one issue with with Angelina" …

    "She was a Man" 😂
Just some of the pics of this dude looked a bit zesty so with all his lies I thought he was another jon jones closet type 😂😂

  6. my dad when he was alive watching early UFC and MMA he never believed on this guy cause he knew something was off with this dude and my dad was an instructor and he looks as much as he could. When he found nothing about this dude and he just rolled his eyes and kept calling him a fraud when he came up on TV, my dad took his teachings, and martial arts seriously and he really hates fakes.

  7. for the record and to correct you, Torre vs Hershberger was filmed
I know because i have it downloaded and on DVD as well from the old ADCC releases.

Torre decides to wear a full blown GI
    Herschberger is No Gi
Bo throws him very quickly, moves straight to mount, obtains a collar grip on Torres Gi and proceeds to choke him with his own gi in under a minute
Not your typical "collar choke" either. Looks like a BB strangling a guy that never attended white belt fundemental classes(as this is what it was)
