  1. I felt so badly for the person in that first letter, and very indignant on their behalf. I would have been so angry that I would have withdrawn some emergency cash, and then promptly canceled that card that was used. Requesting a new card is fast and takes 2 or 3 days to arrive. Screw the MLM company they wouldn't get another dime from me.

  2. Re: Story 2 Every store does have that policy, but a lot of people don't know about it, because the stores don't want to make legitimate customers uncomfortable. Stores don't usually step in unless someone is making a problem, or trying to recruit employees etc. They tend to keep it quiet, because they want you to feel like you can talk about buying craft stuff to later sell those crafts, or calling clients to book at your salon while you shop. Mlm reps coming in and trying to recruit away a store employee, or trying to sell an mlm product in the store, however, cost the store money or labor, so those are the kinds of things they step in to prevent.

  3. I just stumbled over a documentation on YT about a crypto MLM called "Egal wie – Hauptsache Millionär"" by the German tv station WDR. Very interesting stuff – and very much "Network Marketing 101" par excellence. Regrettably it is Not available with english subtitles. 🙄Their overall tone was quite too positive from my POV, but it gave a good insight into the self deceit real MLM afficionados practice.

  4. I have never understood why a rep would want to trick someone into an autoship. Because even if they loved the products, they won't want to keep ordering from YOU! You tricked them! They can't trust you! So why the deception??
