This is sickening 😭😭 killing those beautiful horse's some people don't care about those horses it's all about money 💰😭💰😭😭
I would pay money to spend a day walking around with your donkeys. You might think about organizing Donkey Walks or something of that sort.
Wow! They are doing great work, but badly need more help. More people, more money more everything – it cant be allowed to Fail because they are so needed – its sad – these are also beautiful animals – they are just not wanted like horses. The BLM was always something terrible. I myself have always hated how they work – they were always there for the ranchers who wanted horse free Land. They used to block off the water for them deliberatly, then hunted them down so brutally – horrible company. Just so many very bad policies, nothing good for the equines! Bad Lobbyists deciding everything, well the money dictated.
Teach your donkeys go in harness and to pull wagons and that way they can get a home that can give them some gentle work as donkeys can have fun as they are pack animals and they are very very strong and it gives them a job as I had a donkey that use to get out of his paddock because he was bored and after that he was broken in to harness and to carry a pack with food for humans and animals as I use to go bush with my horses and I took my donkey with me too and he was not stubborn he wanted to work and he was very well looked after and he is now retired he is not in good health from very old age and he is under a vet as my best friend now has my donkey as I don’t have any where to keep him and I found out that he will be put to sleep soon if he doesn’t improve with his health
A caring and competent farrier is priceless. Hats off to the farriers!
That was very enlightening to watch. She definitely has a lot of donkey's. She is very dedicated to those donkey's and takes very good care of them from what I could see. 😊
Love your new episode..thank you.❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow! Two comments: we didn’t get to hear any donkeys braying! Also I am interested in learning more about where donkey products are most in demand, why kill buyers are buying them. On a quick google I see their meat is primarily consumed in China but that their skins are also sold for a variety of products.
Get some big horses and go trail ridding and go for a week or three weeks and have some of your donkeys carry a pack with all the food you need for your animals and humans and make it a paying trip to go camping the old way no cars or electric on the trip as if you was ne’er me in Australia I would go camping all the time as I wish that I was born in the olden days that there is now cars
I couldn't help but notice that Peaceful Pastures' location is fairly close to the lakes areas in Missouri. The places where a lot of wealthy people go to play. I think it should be possible to bring in more events if they tap into the summer vacation/lake goers populations, that could help bring in more donations. Maybe having a campground on the farm as another source of income. With some donkey-centric educational camp activities? Just a thought.
Until I started following Horse Plus I had no idea how many donkeys there are in this country.
Oh my goodness, what an awful thing for that precious animal to go through.
Did anyone else find the 2 minute & 21 second intro a bit too long?
You've never heard of donkeys and music? Oh My Gosh! Tawnee! I've always played music for my animals. Smooth jazz, smooth symphonies and even classical for mares in foal. It calms them! Just like it calms humans. Light airy ambient music. Even something like Dan Gibson's sounds of nature. Music is just as good for the animals as it is for humans.
Come here Beth, my friend, you're a love & I am so proud of you & your facility. You're the Bees Knees Girlfriend! Keep doing good! Blessings ❤️
Great Organization. Thank you for all their hard work to save so many. I agree they need more adoption events.
So much love, concern and work going on to every animal there. Grown so fast to such numbers is a shock to see meaning far too many animals in dia straits, is daunting.
No we can't save them all but emotionally it takes a huge toll on the societies trying their upper most to have to learn how to say no. Oh I do not envy anyone placed in this situation.
I am pleased to hear that the board members are aware and can be strong enough to do their best for staff and the animals.
Thank you Tawnee and Jason for bringing us along to meet these beautiful souls do such great efforts to help save and rehome these precious animals. ❤
The BLM just came in to our town and rounded up our town band of wild horses. Very sad and hopeful that they are now safe.
I love Peaceful Pastures! I know we see a lot of horse rescues that have a few donkeys, Beth has just flipped the tables… I didn’t realize she had so little help though… volunteers usually think of dogs/cats/horses, the more popular pets, so it is good that word is getting out on these lovely smart creatures!!❤ Maybe I should move to Lincoln…. 😊
wonderful interview and impressive site run by animal angels who restore health and comfort to precious donkeys in highest need. best of luck for visibility and increase in funding.
It's great, but seriously 300 donkeys? My God. This can easily go terribly wrong. This is borderline animal hoarding. Even when her own team says that she can't seem to let them get adopted. Yes, it's terrible what these animals have to go through, but you can't save them all. You are one person.
Great job beautiful video ❤yay donkeys
I know what Tawnee was looking at, versus what the owner was.
What they've done in just 2 years is amazing! But it's kinda like Pony Tales was (but with way more space)…
What a fun and inspiratiinal organization with a truly beautiful facility! They specialize donkey rescue but also accept horsessoalready are networking which is great But their expertise in getting mini donkeys and horsesadopted really stood out for me since the auctions seem to be overflowing with minis.
Everyone is doing such great work. So Awesome!!
The owner is an amazing woman. I think they could get their odds and ends in order. BUT I also think that with the money the should hire someone to help with the work load. And never take in more than 300 ever. Her heart is if its possible maybe too big.
I thought I was going to be bored by this video but Wow! What an interesting video. This lady works so hard and never have I seen so many donkeys coming up to a vehicle and want love and cookies. She works really hard with socializing them. I believe they truly need more mentoring and it would be of great benefit for them. Hope they get the grant!
Another awesome episode! Subscribed to Peaceful Pastures Donkey Rescue!
What a compassionate bunch of people!! Your farrier is priceless!!
So lovely to know you are there to support them.
Once you've been to an auction that doesn't care, you will be scarred for life! It never leaves you, the horrors you see people capable of against animals! The only way I would ever go back to one is if I knew I could save some!
Beth is clearly a wonderful woman, what she's doing is amazing!
Wow what an amazing rescue x I think they are doing an amazing job and love how they are already implementing changes suggested by you guys. I do think adoption events and possibly camping with the donkeys would be an awesome money maker for you guys ❤
great org n great people..god bless n huggs
Have you ever thought of a day camp or weekend camp for 6-10 people to educate on donkey care or ownership? Also, maybe bring in a few volunteers to just handle the donkeys. Out west, there are donkey races, and many older hikers have donkeys to carry their packs. Also, they pull the manure cart and a small buggy. Donkeys really enjoy "helping" around the home place. All of these organizations are doing fantastic jobs. Good luck choosing a "winner." They are all winners.
What an awesome organization and a great episode! Thank You so much!
So many donkeys! And it’s such a beautiful place. Beth is truly exceptional with her vision. Thank you for taking us along! The farrier also is doing such amazing work. I really hope they can get more support to sustain for many, many years to come. I totally understand it’s really hard to turn animals in need down – or to watch them being loaded off to slaughter. I am not sure if I could take it in without breaking down crying. I just wish like Tawnee said that the whole system could change!
