MISSED YOUR CONNECTING TRAIN? Indian Railways will give you 100% REFUND!

If your first train got delayed due to which you missed your connecting train, then you are eligible for refund from IRCTC.

Provided you have done a “Connecting journey booking”

Here’s how to do it step by step:

. On the IRCTC site, choose the option ‘Connecting journey booking’ under “TRAINS’ menu

. Find train for journey

• Check accommodation

• On clicking “Book Now, you’ll have to enter Connecting PNR

• Enter the PNR booked with same user ID [OTP verification required in case of counter ticket]

PNR will be verified by IRCTC – if eligible, your details will automatically be filled

And your PNRs will be linked!

Now if your first train runs late, you can easily claim refund!

Simple steps to follow.

• Surrender the ticket of your second train within 3 hours of the ACTUAL arrival time of the first train;

• Mention reason as “Missing the connecting train because of the late running of the main train”

• For e-tickets, you can file TDR within 3 hours of the actual arrival of the train at the interconnecting station

The refund office will analyse your case and grant the final refund.

IMPORTANT POINTS:

[1] Terminating station of main journey should match with the connecting train’s originating station

[ii] Passenger details should match for both PNRs

[ii] Difference between main journey and connecting journey should not be more than 5 days

[iv] PNR from station and boarding station should be the same and PNR to station and reserved up to should be same

[v] Only LINKED PNRs will be eligible for refunds in case of delays

So be careful to link your tickets while booking – either online or at the counter

  23. IDfc first bank moratorium,, total tenure 48 months , 4 months moratorium so 52 months , paid 53 months ,, IDFC asking to pay 55 months ,, heavy torture calling everyday. Also during moratorium IDFC has represented ECS also had given several penalty charges for insufficient balance for moratorium period
