  1. Joseph is absolutely a giant issue and should be replaced in the offseason. During the season, unless they can find a viable replacement now, coaches need to adjust gameplan: no 50+ FG attempts and no high pressure situation extra point attempts.

  2. Not a great take from Declan concerning Joseph. The bigger problem than the long misses is the three missed PAT's, which could have shipwrecked this team yesterday. Worst FG % in the league and most missed PAT's in the league. I'm not saying replace him immediately, but it's time to review the short list and if this continues much longer you have to try out some guys.

  3. I agree with Dex. All the missing the 50+ yards is messing with Greg mentally. Mackey says it's common but let's be real here Vikes are putting him into WAY too many long kicks. Unnecessarily… let's look at Cousins throwing 4 yard passes not getting the first down to get them closer consistently putting the kicker in long range situations. Greg can make them once in awhile not 3-4 every game?

  4. I noticed later in the game, in drop back protection they had Cook or Mattison run directly to help Ingram in the middle of the line. Like in the huddle it was already determined. If they would have blitzed pn those plays Kirk would have been a sitting duck.

  5. Smith and Hunter now have more combined tackles for loss than any other tandem in the league. Smith is the individual league leader in that category. They should just get better as the season wears on. Get this defense peaking in December!

  6. Hey PD crew! I'm only about a 1/3 of the way thru this episode and I have a point that hasn't been discussed here for awhile. Let's turn back the clock to the moment that the Vikings decided to switch Punters and as a result their place kicking holder. Remember all of your concern over that at the time? Especially Sports Dad! My take is that I think this is also a work in progress. I would argue that the holder would need to tilt the ball more towards the Kicker, Joseph, to help avoid Greg's literally drilling a Arizona defender in the face mask for a blocked attempt. It has to either be the holder or the kicker in this scenario. Is the holder not tipping the ball given the distance of the missed kicks or the kicker not getting under the ball at turf level to get it up and over the line of scrimmage? Would love to hear your thoughts! Just sayin' . . .

  7. Jordan Hicks was a pretty awesome signing too. Because Za'Darius Smith dominating and worthless PFF grades and YouTube takes, Jordan Hick's is overshadowed and unappreciated. Anyone with a football mind can see he has been a beast the last 4 games. Hats off to Kwesi.

  8. I want to see him pick up Odell Beckham Jr for some reason I did like him with the Giants and he is good and he still has game left and they can get him after the trade deadline because he's a free agent at least I'm pretty sure that's how that works that's who I would like to see on the Vikings if they don't make a trade and just pick up Odell Beckham Jr I think that would be really good for Minnesota

  9. I wonder how much being in the shotgun is contributing to Cousins accuracy? He seems out of synch at times. Also I would be surprised if Qwesi burns any picks for a wideout. The team is having success, but they are a complete unknown when talking playoff football. The chances of them being a wideout away from a Superbowl is extremely low, IMO. It's not worth it, cap and future-wise, to add a guy like Cooks for picks, when you can draft a top tier kid this off-season or develop Nailor, who has 4.4 speed, or even sign a FA.

If they trade for anyone I would hope it's a slot corner or DT depth, especially now that Tomlinson is iffy.

  10. Think Dec’s point is…don’t settle for long field goals. Keep pushing the ball down the field to make the field goal, if you have to try it, much more manageable. He’s right.

  11. Mackey you have to stop including Herbert… “guys that can carry you”, he hasn’t even made the playoffs and isn’t that what it’s all about? If chargers miss playoffs again shouldn’t that conversation be had?

  12. I'm fine with not having him kick 55 yard field goals, but he is missing extra points and we can't have that crap. Greg Joseph is most definitely a problem. Of his three missed extra points, he missed one with a 3 point lead and this week with an 8 point lead. I don't care if it's mental. I'm not sure who else the vikings can get, but he needs to go right now.

  13. This arguments cool and all but he’s led like 4 fourth quarter comebacks this season and has had multiple game ending touchdowns game mangers don’t do that 😂 this narrative is annoying as fuck

  14. Hello Judd, I believe I heard you start off by saying that everyone? jumped all over for your hot take of last week. Just so you know I was NOT one of them. I had stated you may not have done the greatest job in clarifying your initial comment, BUT, I knew exactly what you were trying to say as you were stumbling through it (no knock). Phil is the one who didn't even give you a chance to explain yourself/finish before he jumped all over you.

Now, today, you start off about Kirk being the best game manager and Whack, phil jumps in there to take it the Wrong way before you even explain yourself. Again phil was Wrong. Phil tends to have a big problem thinking he can interpret what you are going to say (maybe he has this problem with other people, I don't know) before you actually complete your statement. I knew EXACTLY what you meant before you even opened your mouth. As soon as I read the headline, I knew what you were going to say. It was EASY to figure out.

Phil either does this to cause a little conflict for the show OR he really likes to show everyone he is in charge and He runs the show. I honestly do not know. However, what I do know is that it does annoy me when someone believes they have it all figured out, so they jump in with their comments and are Completely Wrong! Phil comes across to me as a guy who thinks he is the smartest guy in the room. In my vast experience a guy who usually thinks he is that guy, in most cases he is NOT! Phil you are not.

Do the show a favor and learn to LISTEN and allow Judd to finish his thoughts Before you assume you know what he is thinking. IF you had been right in your assumptions, I would not say a word. Aahhh, you were wrong in both cases. Having only been watching/listening to the show for a relatively short period of time, I Have to assume this is not your first foray into Thinking you have it figured out, thus, Not the first time you have been wrong about what someone was trying to say. However, I knew exactly what his thoughts were based on my experience/understanding of a persons thought process etc.

Phil, the proper way to lead, to be the Host etc. is – allow someone (Judd or others) to completely finish their comment (if there are time constraints that you must adhere to then I could understand if you have to jump in to cut someone short – in which case you Should Apologize for your interruption, letting them know about the time constraints etc). Take a couple notes if need be. Once they have completed their comment you can then feel free to interject what you believe they were trying to say, assuming it was somewhat confusing to figure out. This is accomplished by making a simple statement to the affect: Judd, please correct me if I am wrong But, were you trying to say this …………. because I was a little confused while listening, specifically about these 2 points etc.

Real Simple – just stop your ego from trying to take charge! Ego and Pride the Number 1 Killer in the World, more so then any illness, disease, addiction etc. Stops people dead in their tracks from reaching any higher level of pursuit or knowledge etc. Look no further then Jerry Jones. He finally admitted it 6 months – year ago that his Ego/Pride was the problem for the teams failures. I hate him, lol, for finally realizing it because I like it when the cowboys suck, lol.

Phil, please do not be that guy!

  15. Ooops, Sorry, in my desire to shed some light on Phil's issue of power etc. I neglected/forgot to mention that One of the reasons I could see your issue Phil is because Many of us, especially when we are younger have this issue. When I say many of us, I INCLUDE MYSELF into that category, lol. I have long since passed that point and will always monitor myself – always talking to myself, keeping myself in check/in-line:)

Ok, now I am done, lol.

  16. Talking about Joseph, it seems like a lot of his misses have come since switching from Berry holding to Wright….he was really driving kicks in ota's….and I'm not sure who was doing the holding. The 56yard kick was one of low trajectory, and I want to think his kicking motion is one of a routine, similar to a golf swing. That said any tilt or angle of the ball position at holding is going to be dramatic, extremely. I just can't see drop-off like we have seen being the kicker. Especially PAT's, those didn't seem to be a problem through last year.

  17. The reason why kirks stats where so perfect in the past was because, one he’s good, and two he would only throw safe throws and everything in between which would hold the team back, now he takes a chance or 2 and it does more to give us better chances at winning compared to better, safer stats and less winning results
