  1. for those who may concern: don't ever fear a colonoscopy. it's only in your manly mind.. it goes over quick, smoothly and without any concern. all it ever does is: give you certainty and/or clarity. and if you are of the daring kind: for the first feet of insertion go without anaesthesia.. it might even be a little bit funny 😜 you can even witness your intestines live on video screen.. lol

  2. i always thought The pacific had a very very interesting and compelling shift of tone compared to band of brothers : I could definitly picture someone watch band of brothers and being like "ok war is bad and you can die and all, but at the same time … uniforms look cool, you have incredible friendship and yhea heroism victory and all", you know someone who could watch band of brothers and then want to sign up right ?
But then you watch The pacific, and in the pacific war is just bad. Like there is nothing to gain from the war depicted in the pacific, its cruel, harsh, theres sickness, everybody is mean towards you (ennemies and friendlies), nobody care for you back home … it is just pure hell. I cannot picture anyone we watch the pacific and then want to sign up.

And yhea, i really liked than tone shift, i always thought that when spielberg and hanks watched BoB back they probably thought to themselves "it's a bit nice isnt it ?", hence why they wanted to double back on the horrors of war, they even insisted more on PTSD, something which is barely explored in the BoB show while being present at the end of the book.

  3. So… you don’t have cancer, in the absence of any doctor telling you you did. Curious why you’d say you did previously? Not for views, I trust. I think you owe the community an apology.

  4. Stay strong Jingles 🥺 I've been with you since those first WoT silent videos, back when there were no physics and you could get a maus to hang off a cliff but, couldnt back it up again… I felt like a part of my childhood (I'm 31 lol) died when Eddie did, to a lesser degree Total Biscuit… A really really hope you don't follow, but instead beat this shitshow… I mean, Rita's great, but she won't be as good an evil overlord in the salt mines… You need upper body strength to work a whip properly and all that… Anyway, getting sidetracked… All the love and strength from Slovakia. you've got this 💪

  5. About coke. Im lucky i never got too much into the regular. I always liked the taste of light, and then later zero, more… Like, the regular just tasted way too sweet… when fanta or sprite zero are available here (they are seasonal) I buy months-worth of supply 😀

I don't know how much of a tea person you are, but drinking taiwanese oolongs (GABA tea) or japanese greens might be a good idea instead of coffee. No sugar, no cream/milk… Something in those teas actually helps lower blood sugar (got the same problem) and they contain about the same amount of caffeine (theine)… There are some studies about the cancer-fighting properties of these raw teas, but you can find those about practically anything, so that's just a potential little sweetener (hah). And most importantly… Loose leaf from a reputable tea store/importer, def not from supermarket in teabags. Japanese greens and GABA should be infused in 80°C water at the most to prevent it to get too bitter and you can prepare multiple brews with just one batch. Im sure people in the store will be more than happy to provide instructions for brewing each specific tea. To begin with, I would try Gyokuro from the japanese teas and GABA hara from taiwanese oolongs. If you decide to try it, bon apetit 🙂

  6. could be you have Crohns or Coltis, that happened to me in 2017. Started passing blood in my crap and was referred to the local hospital. Camera up the jacksie within 2 weeks confirmed I had Ulcerative Colitis. I was so relieved as up until then, I was convinced I had bowel cancer.

  7. The worst thing about a colonoscopy is the laxatives you have to take ring of fire doesn’t even describe the pain haha, I had a very similar situation to you they did one found nothing and 12 years later I still have blood in my stool but they can’t find out why I do, sorry for the graphic comment haha good luck jingles your videos are always the best part of my day I still laugh when you told the story of the surgeon who had a 400% mortality rate when he gave people gang green from swinging his saw about in surgery

  8. Where diabetes is concerned, carbs are your enemy. This can be offset to an extent with fiber, but bread, pasta, rice, beans, and all sorts of other things are LOADED with carbs.

My wife is type 2 diabetic. She's limited to 45 carbs a meal, and 15 carbs for snacks. To put it into perspective, a slice of bread generally has 15-20 carbs. Each.

  9. As someone who has had plenty of shitty experience with the medical world DO NOT TRUST YOUR GP. The only way to treat yourself is to do as much of the work yourself. Don't rely on the NHS to do their job. You have to keep pushing them to do it. Look into all available treatments both in the UK and abroad and educate yourself on the illness so that you know what to look out for and how it SHOULD be dealt with.

  10. Wow, listening to the Nordpass advert and the cheesy music kicks in. My mind suddenly had flashbacks to my time in the mob and I had a brief moment where I thought I had 70's porn running on the PC.

  12. I've been on a carnivore diet since September last year, and I've lost over 40 pounds, but the thing is that now when I eat at the restaurant, and I cheat a bit, bear, tomatoes, carrots, and milk taste really sweet. I can not imagine what candy or regular Coca-Cola would actually taste it would probably be revaulting. Also, blood in a stool doesn't mean cancer, and test in question is not that reliable. My guess is that Jingles has internal hemorrhoids or ulcers and that his pancreatic problem, which caused diabetes, interfered with the test. Fingers crossed!

  13. Jingles, I have an extra special shoutout to give to you. I remember when you did the add for Sir Havoc about WOT university years ago, well I ended up joining and eventually becoming the lead training coordinator for WOTU… I met so many great people and still to this day made many good friendships through that group, several of us are meeting up at weddings, meet up at pax east, and are all really close friends, all from your little mention of it. I have so much to thank you for your positive community, its brought more people together then you think !

  14. Jingles, if you need to talk about shit, you know what I mean, talk about it… Also it’s good for the rest of us to talk about this or least be aware.
Also happy to be fleeced you’ve been a wonderful “friend” who’s 100% helped me through some darker days, just with your hilarious banter.

  15. Over the last decade, maybe more, since the dawn of time when your YT nickname was Bohemian Eagle, I got so accustomed to your voice that I look at you like some distant English uncle. Please don't leave us, just fart that thing away, whatever it is. Greetings from Serbia!

  16. We're the same age. My FIT was positive, I had a colonoscopy and everything was malign – they don't know a thing until they get up in your guts. The prep for the colo wasn't pleasant but is really no big deal. I went in, they put warm socks on me, I had a little nap and when I woke up my GF brought me a tea and took me home. It was actually a pretty lovely morning. It was so nice I asked my GF if she wanted to get a couple's colo. She said she'd think about it.

  17. Coffee without sugar still taste like coffee. If you can drink the liquid chemical waste spill that is diet coke, then I'm sure you could skip sugar in the coffee completely if you want to. If you go and die from diabetes, I'll have to fund research into ressurection, so I could frown disappointedly at you. Take care!

  18. Good outlook, Jingles:
don't forget, a FIT test can also light up positive if you've taken antibiotics that sits in your tract for a while since they sometimes can induce blood in stools as a side effect.

    Bad outlook, Jingles:
Beer can also do that too…

  20. Hi Paul. I have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes since 2001 when I came out of the RAF. I do find it hard to keep eating the right stuff. But I can give you a few pieces of advice. Consider getting sweeteners such as canderel etc. I prefer to buy the powdered stuff that looks like sugar. Then you can put as much or as little as you like into your coffee. I use a coffee pod machine and don't put extra sugar in all the coffee pods I use. They taste sweet enough without putting sugar or sweeteners in it. As far as Coke goes. I prefer Pepsi Max, but I also don't mind Coke Zero. I think both are better than Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi. I regularly see a Diabetic Nurse, and do regular blood tests to see how my control is doing. I also have to do my own finger prick blood tests because I am a HGV Driver. My Meter will give me the averages for 7 days, 14, 30, 90 days etc. Then I every so often write down my averages in a note book.
I have done a poo test for bowel cancer which came back negative. This test was where they post you a kit where you have to use a small plastic stick to get a sample of poo. Then post it back to the hospital. Not sure if its the same test you have done. I have now had a letter telling me they are going to send me another test because its coming up to 2 years since I did the last test.
Good luck with all your medical problems mate. Hope for the best for you.

  21. Wife has Type 2. No big deal. They should be having you get a test kit for home pretty soon. That will help you track the short term glucose level.
In the USA you'd have had your coloniscopy by now BUT your share of the cost, after insurance, would be around $6500. Not bad, but not good either. Hope you get tested soon. The prep is the worst part.
