  1. 51:15 lets all screw advertisers by taking their money and not watching their ads. You have bills to pay, as long as you are ehtically alright with whatever your promoting i dont give a damn. when its 4 or 5 sponsors for videos then i'll care. i'd be able to fast forward through an ad than be unable to skip an automatic one.

  2. Jingles: "One of these giveaways is reserved for the people who go the extra mile and help the channel."
Me: Well, that's a nice gesture, the contributions make Mingles ad-free, so I'm glad my support is appre-
Jingles: "The contest's deadline is Sunday, so if you're hearing about this on Mingles with Jingles, you already missed it. Tough! [laughs]"
Me: …ciated. Great, thanks for that. Oh well, I was happy enough before hearing about the contest, and it's a giveaway anyway, so I'm no worse off for having missed it.

(Subtitle: "Good news, the winners are now being drawn on Monday so you're still in with a chance!"
    Me: Fool me once…)

  3. I would much rather prefer a minute of advertising by you, even if it was raid shadow legens, to the 15 seconds unskippable interrupts by youtube every other minute.

  4. Jingles, the Zumwalts are absolutely not being slowly retired lmao. Those are the LCS classes. The latest news for the Zumwalts is the scrapping of the Advanced Gun Systems (the congress-demanded 155mm guns to fulfill naval gunfire support role), to place more missile compartments and a testbed VLS for the Navy's upcoming Hypersonic missile tests.

  5. Besides adblockers, there's also sponsorblockers. Not only do they skip sponsored sections of the video, but also intros, outros, like-and-subscribes etc. if you so choose. They use a user submitted data so sometimes it's inaccurate or missing altogether (especially for brand new videos), but most of the time it works perfectly for me. They are really a QOL improvement, since 99,9 % of the time I'd skip/fastforward (or at least mute if unskippable) these sections anyway.

  6. I truly feel you should tell people in Mingles with Jingles and other videos on your channel (with like 6 weeks worth of warnings) that you’re going to do a “one week bananza!” In which you’re going to take like 7 sponsorships in a week just to cash in a little. We’ll all know why you’re doing it, we’ll all know you haven’t “sold out” or whatever and we can just fast forward them if we don’t like them anyway. That way one week per year you could really cash in, plus your normal sponsored segments and we’d all be in on the joke so to speak

  7. To put Gaijin into perspective: they supoorted the LNR/DPR troops with monetary donations before the 2022 war kicked off. Not sure if they've been sending donations since

  8. Jingles, you could use Bandicam custom recording window to record yours and the Saltmines guys voices. I know it's meant for videos, but all you have to do is just make the recording window really small to limit file size and then just use the file audio in your editing software.

  9. Maybe you ought to take a trip to the Newark Air Museum at some point. There's were definitely some interesting things that I saw whilst I was there a few years back particularly the Vulcan Bomber thats on display there.

  10. prequels are my favourite but the Obi-Wan series is still bad … and the last episode? camera was total garbage – they clearly didn't know how to light a scene with a colored light judged by the awful color clipping … I have no idea how such an amaterurish effort could come out of lucasfilm

  11. sorry to say it, but final episode was junk…Spoiler alert! the feats of force strength Kenobi showed were far-far above his pay-grade… He pretty much shitted on Vader and that the way that happened made not fu*ing sense… add this to the previous shitty episodes and I can firmly say that Disney can go fu* themselves….

  12. War thunder, the best virtual model kit ever made. A bloody shame the rest of it is awful. Also, on the Zumwalt class DDGs. They're definitely going to be like the Seawolf class attack sub. Highly expensive, cutting edge tech demonstrators that pave the way for a significantly cheaper successor (like the Virginia Class attack sub).

  13. Sponsorships: Dude, take more, even if it's once a week or a couple times a week! I have to admit I use an ad blocker because youtube's ad policy is ridiculous. I used to watch an RC planes channel until Youtube started running ads every minute and they had a sponsorship segment halfway through that ran for 3+ minutes, their videos became unwatchable! (I watched them on my phone at work so didn't have a decent ad blocker).

I sent you an email about designing (and printing if needed) board game tokens for you when you get chance. Seeing as I use an ad blocker I felt it's the least I can do 😉

  14. Middle English: via Old French from Latin herba ‘grass, green crops, herb’. Although herb has always been spelled with an h, pronunciation without it was usual until the 19th century and is still standard in the US.

    herb (n.)

    c. 1300, erbe "non-woody plant," especially a leafy vegetable used for human food, from Old French erbe "grass, herb, plant fed to animals" (12c., Modern French herbe), from Latin herba "grass, an herb; herbage, turf, weeds" (source also of Spanish yerba, Portuguese herva, Italian erba). The form of the English word was refashioned after Latin since 15c., but the h- was mute until 19c. Slang meaning "marijuana" is attested from 1960s. The native word is wort.
