Mikey Moore Incredible! I'm Jealous They Signed Gray & Bergvall! Tottenham 5-1 Hearts Reaction

Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 Hearts! My first time properly watching Mikey Moore and wow he is generational. Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 Hearts pre season reaction. Mikey Moore scores. Lucas Bergvall assist. Brennan Johnson scores again but in the first half Archie Gray shines at CB. Lucas Bergvall impresses in midfield and Mikey Moore steals the show. #tottenham #bergvall #mikeymoore

  1. Trying not get too excited, we signed ‘generational talent’ Veliz last summer and then sent him to do nothing at Seville. Hoping we give them a chance to play and develop…

  2. I still feel like this squad needs niche players to unlock teams, change games. The big three:

    – a ballwinning 6 that brings mongrel, when Romero is out

    – at least one dribbly boi winger (shame Gil never worked, he has the touch and stride to lure in defenders) if Solomon looks to come good. Else, one for now, one for the future

    – an elite outright 9 to lump up front WITH Richy, to prise open low block sides. Toney seems good value to me, still.

I think being able to switch into the two-striker shapes (4312, 442, 532, 523 w/false 9) is the kick along this side needs, to open games differently, than how they want to close them.
I see Johnson getting goals playing alongside a smart striker like toney, in a front pair.

    — I also worry about ange's game management being to simple for season #2.

  3. Alice calls more stuff in advance like Mainoo being in England midfied with Rice and Jude than any of the pundits on sky or bbc put together. Not many people I've ever met with such a good football brain. As a Spurs fan we're blessed our club has caught her interest. In Ange we trust and, with him, the academy we invested so much in is finally getting the attention it deserves

  4. Lukas said that he was so nervous/anxious before coming on and that it spilled onto the pitch. He just wanted to do too much straight away. But his main strength, imho, is his ability to change up his levels. It's just like he pushes a button and all comes into gear. I was well pleased with his first outing and looking forward to see A LOT more of him these coming weeks.
Concerning Gray I was sad to see him at CB, wanted to see him and Lukas have a go at it in midfield. BUT Gray did very well and I understand why Ange chose him to play at CB.
Lankshear showed some really good runs and that he knows where to be in the short time he was given. Donley also did very well considering he's a more attacking option than a fullback.
I would have to say that ALL the youngsters did good, well or even very well on Wednesday and looking forward to see them again tomorrow at QPR.
