  1. John 3:36 'whosoever believes on the son has everlasting life.' Jesus of Nazareth, who was God in the flesh of a man, died for the remission of sin, including yours, was buried, and rose form the dead 3 days later. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."-John 3:16. If you simply believe in this to apply to you and trust Jesus to save you from hell then you have everlasting life in heaven.

  2. This really happened but it was in February 1942, several months before the battle of Midway. The man who did it was named Bruno Gaido and he was an aviation machinist's mate at the time. He later served as a gunner on a Dauntless DB at Midway and was captured after being shot down. The Japanese first tortured him and then weighted down Gaido and threw him overboard alive to drown on June 15, 1942.

The Japanese committed thousands of war crimes during WW2 as well as in China during the years leading up to it. Gaido's death was just one of many illegal executions of POW's. They of course committed other war crimes in addition to executing POW's. In my opinion, the most sickening things they did took place at the infamous unit 731. There, the Japanese infected and then committed vivisection on thousands of fully conscious unanesthetized men, women and children as well as captured America POW's. The general public mostly knows or has heard of atrocities Josef Mengele committed but they know little if anything about unit 731. I will never understand why they weren't treated much worse than the Germans. There should have been hundreds more executions of Japanese leaders and generals after the war. The emperor should have been hanged as well, but instead he retained a measure of power and was allowed to live a comfortable post war life until he died of cancer in1989. He received a state funeral.

  3. I can’t believe people are that upset the movie took some liberties so that it could better entertain the audience. If anything this movie is great for getting the audience interested in history while presenting for the most part, historically accurate information with some extra effects for entertainment. If you want accuracy, watch a documentary.

  4. Great movie, as was the 1976 version. However not historically accurate. Of course it isn't a documentary, however would be nice if they could stick to the basic facts of the battle.
